Hope Last Night's Session Was Fun
I appreciate everyone being patient with me, I was really struggling hard to maintain cohesion that session and try to make the story interesting. I could lament how I feel like I wasn't really making things engaging as the GM but I'd rather just ask you guys honestly because I'm honestly curious and barely remember details.

As luck would have it, i remember it all.
There was this time when i was grabbing this dwarf and slamming him into the ground, and then Kolson chopped his head off. Then we got destroyed by this mage dude who was so obviously luring us in that i felt like a retard for taking ze bait, and then ended up used as a bargaining chip to drive my party to defeat, and then the dwarf lady showed up and went "Just kidding!", and i was like "¿wtf?".
Great session. Good times.

If you had a hard time Arch, I didn't notice it.
Well, except once. When you summarized what Radnaald said to one of the party members instead of roleplaying it. That's the only instance when I thought "the painkillers are working".
Except that, I loved it, even if I had to leave earlier for work (which should stop starting January).

I remember not hitting shit..... again. I really need to get a different shield so I can get rid of that negative to the attack.
(Speaking of which, I never heard if I got my sword and shield back or not.)

- there was one thing....:
- The only thing I was disappointed by was the (trap) mage never responded to my challenge, since I was hoping to parley with him before we got to him to attack. I don't know if you never heard my statement of yelling at him to order his troops to withdraw to avoid further loss of life, or if he just ignored it.

Oh, yes everyone received their equipment back.
As for the challenge thing, I apologize I must've missed that entirely buuut if you had in fact yelled that, his response would have been to call you to prove you were worthy of such a withdrawal, a duel request of sorts.

I don't want to spoil too much about the Dwarf who never even named himself (which is uncommon for Dwarves in general btw, usually pretty hospitable folk even as enemies) but one way or another he was likely to unleash on the party given the party's actions.

I was hoping to be diplomatic and avoid further casualties. How that would've played out, who knows...Archengeia wrote:Oh, yes everyone received their equipment back.

Probably a result of failed diplomacy, yeah...K wrote:And then boom, i immagine

I loved it. I loved the roleplay, I loved the event, and y'know I definitely would have charged off Enraged against that one mage all by myself if it came down to just me, so I'm glad there was more to it than "trap fireball".
Since I killed that one guy, do I get the granite sword as a spoil of battle?

Oh. Right, there are actually not many spoils from the battle per say (given how uniquely it ended) BUT you do get to claim the gear of the three people you killed. I'm going to throw up a post on the loot ... post about it.

I had fun last night, yeah. It went better than I thought it would honestly.

I'll take credit for the recruitment of the refugees. (Seeing as how I couldn't actually do any damage to anything....) lolSnarg of Wildpaw wrote:I had fun last night, yeah. It went better than I thought it would honestly.

Mmmm, yes, I was trying to avoid conscripting refugees at the start, but it came out well enough for the moment. If post-omega circumstances were a bit different I'd have been against it but ... well, we shan't spoil things.
We need to either get you a good two-hander so you can swap out or something that constantly forces the enemy to attack you.

Re: Hope Last Night's Session Was Fun
I'm quite sad that it was so easy to recruit those refugees. They were so desperate to find a new home, they accepted the offer or a stranger to fight with their lives for a cause they don't know about.
Also Arch, do you think you could throw a post for each session where we could discuss things that happened at that time? It would be more organized than the OOC thread.
