Still playing catchup on the D&D video blogs. I hope to finish sometime this week and then I will be caught up to play again.

I am probably going to have a laundry list of questions/requests for retcon.

i.e. I was at the Spatial Temple but by the time I got to answering the thread. Everyone left… So I never took the test, even if I wanted to :-(. Thats up to the Arch.

Last I remember was being in a mine and the person we were looking for blew themselves up and I need to do an emergency heal. Then I asked if anyone wanted to pick up my character for a while which no one did as far as I can tell.

So my Character might have to pull a Gandalf and have my character disperser for a while and return now.

In the mine? You mean when we were on a job for the Order? That would be the 4th adventure in the campaign archives. You should read to catch up! After several sessions it the summary titles become dates, and once you're done reading there, head to the Current Adventure subforum and...wait for it...continue reading.

Things have gotten pretty crazy while you were gone.

Actually if you've watched Blog 25, you should start reading at February 22nd in Current Adventure.

We dragged Caladrius around with us for a long while, using heals as needed. I think we lost him sometime in Holtburg though don't quote me on that.

Yeah we just left you behind. Although we didn't get into any fights between the Order mission and Holtburg, so whenever you left, you were Q-snapped. Arch will probably have some sort of return plan for you.

Almost all of which we aren't actually fighting.

Yes, Zeiss has taken a level in Summoner(God rest his soul), K was horribly experimented on(God rest his soul), and two other members had this anti-deweaving alteration tested on them(no one has ever heard of deweaving before then, it was literally unthinkable)(God rest their souls), and Sethos' soul was already partly deweaved before we reached that point(God rest his soul). Fierneceal was also changed somehow, I forget how, like suddenly she's not a Psion anymore. Does anybody know if she got better? This is all explained in the Third Sanctum blog entry. Arch tries his best to explain it all, God rest his soul, but you know how it is. God rest his soul.

Also, Ashakel and Sethos have bowed out of the campaign, Hanuel disappeared and later reappeared for one session, then disappeared again, Fierneceal the player went on hiatus for a short period then turned control of her character to Arch, who has been NPCing her(God rest her soul).

Even demons know all this.

Finally caught up... I think... So After the Skyclaw I was "Q-Snaped" according to Arch. From a continuity standpoint my character probably would have stayed behind to render Aide to the refuges. So it looks like my character lived :-P.

I am re reading February 18th and going over Archengeia's D&D Blog 24: I am trying to figure out an elegant way to re-introduce my character, without being out of character while avoiding a q-snap. “Creative solutions to imposable problems” is my moto.
If I stayed behind in Marblebush on the Skyclaw.

Assumption Time:

I assuming that I allowed Fierneceal to give me a Scionic Language lessons and knowing the sheer impossible-ness of trying to save as many as my character can. I would use the time to research the ship.

  1. Why was it left here, what were the events leading up to its abandonment?
  2. What’s required to fly the airship.
  3. Can I use the ships sensors to look for a crew to man the ship that are willing and able to help us in our quest?
  4. Can I use the ships sensors to look look for a place to give the refugees a fighting chance?
  5. Can I use the teleport system to “beam them aboard” what the range of the transport?
  6. Are there other smaller craft that I can fly quickly?
  7. Can I find Engineer, Weaver to take some of the Leycite and forge tool (weapons and armor) to help our team?
  8. Etc…

Side note question, what level was my character

Obviously this is all up to Archengeia digression

Heh, honestly I'd catch up before you start trying to decide all that. All of those questions were either already answered or are not applicable due to circumstances. The biggest one being that if you stayed in Marblebush you would be dead because the town and all the surrounding area was destroyed.

Caladrius, it looks like you missed some summaries. Assuming you watched all of Arch's D&D videos, here's where you have to go next : https://archengeiadnd.forumotion.com/f1-current-adventure

Start reading from the 23th February.

Also Arch, I think this forum needs some clean up... the summaries are all over the place, the OOC threads are piling up and the rest makes all of it difficult to navigate. I would do it if I could, but you are the one with the Admin rights. So.... I believe in your power!

I was q-snaped while on the SkyClaw so for all intents and purposes that’s where I should have remained, not in the town of Marblebush. According to the D&D Blog 25. Everyone but Zeiss who went off to do the exchange and everyone else was transported by the Tumideon to Aphus Lassel effectively abandoning the airship.

Zeiss was looking around the barracks when the Elemental Ley-Line was destroyed; I probably would have been searching for the infirmary or some other medical treatment for any medical treatment for help with the suffering that’s happening.  I might have been in the local garden when the energy wave hit. Hypothetically if is this was the case. When the energy wave hit, I would have been in the best place. Probably realizing what happened and knowing my character I might have left to check on the refugees before you arrived and didn’t get back to you until after Tumideon transported everyone to Aphus Lassel.

https://archengeiadnd.forumotion.com/t166p390-february-21st#13271

So for all intents a purposes my reintroduction should start on February 21st after you left, with no knowledge of what you are doing or what’s happening on Aphus Lassel. As Arch said the Safety are off. If my character is going to burn, then I might as well make one of the bright sources of light before the end of this apocalypse.

So I propose that that’s where I start. I can use those 10 days or so to get my charter up to speed. Before (that’s if I am still alive) rejoin the party somehow. Again this is up to Arch discretion. Doing it this way in my opinion would be the best as if I was with you through Aphus Lassel maybe half the team would not have been dewaeved according to Rory. I know its just as easy to say I was killed while walking down the road.

Everyone’s thoughts were to use the airship as the weapon against Gaerlan. I would use the airship for an entirely different purpose, as a rallying point and/or as a base of operations.  They (people of Dereth ) need a symbol of hope. I would attempt to make that ship run by the very inhabitants of Dereth that symbol. The people of Dereth need to set aside their differences and stand together or face annihilation apart.

That's "discretion". To "digress" means to refrain, to drop a subject in conversation(only context I've ever seen it used in).

Well, no, Javan and Gwydo underwent the change voluntarily, it was supposed to be, by the Scions' perspective in the logs, a good thing.

K was Q-snapped while in Holtburg because he had RL issues as well, and his destination was the chair, there was no variable or chance or choice by the characters there. The goblins'll getcha if you don't watch out.

Fierneceal underwent her change as soon as she stepped foot inside the Aphus Lassel sanctuary. Or it could have been that one time when she nearly got the party killed, but again, no variable/change/choice.

Sethos, on the other hand, was targeted by a Fire Elemental in combat and was being deweaved. He would have been completely deweaved had Javan not interrupted the enemy with an action I can't recall. And how did that fight happen? Snarg decided to deride the Gaerlan statue. It was inevitable, Mr. Caladrius. That was sort of how the battle went. Maybe if you were there it wouldn't have happened, but the fight definitely would have happened.

Sethos was the one it targeted, that is the only thing that had variables affecting it that we couldn't have been aware of. If you were there, it might have targeted you if you were on healing duty as well or instead. It will do no good to speculate, unless Arch has something to say that would make it clear that the Fire Elemental would have targeted Sethos even if you were present.

Fixed, thanks for the catch. Yeah that the problem with the q-snap. Honestly I think next time we should pull a Babylon 5 and come up with a reason/back story for our character to disappear.

Unless you managed to find this info yourself, I'm obligated to tell you just in case you didn't and don't know where to go next.

Currently on Ventrilo, we are doing Dereth campaign sessions on Mondays at 6pm EST, and different stuff on Tuesdays at the same time, which for a while was Arch's Azeroth playtesting. This recent Tuesday, we started *continuing* Third's DnD Next campaign(the 5th Edition currently being playtested), and I gotta say it's exciting.

So whether you want to just hang out while we play, or wait until you're done catching up to hang out/join, go ahead and download the Ventrilo client. make sure you pick the one that corresponds to your system type (32 or 64). I made that mistake myself.

"User Name" is old news, put whatever. Bindings aren't important. Create a new "server" by clicking on the arrow next to the server dropdown menu and click "new"(either that or you'll be prompted to create one if you haven't created any, I don't remember, but don't worry about it). You can also put whatever you want for the server name, that doesn't matter either. What matters are the hostname/IP and the Port number, which I will list here.

hostname/IP: cadmium.typefrag.com
Port number: 5270

Password and Default channel don't matter either because Arch didn't set those. Click "OK" and voila.

If you want to join Snarg's campaign, he's made it mandatory that you have chat capability. Don't know why, but either way, take it up with him if you want to join. There's a thread titled "Welcome" under the Savagery subforum that will give you the specifics on creating a character and playing said character. We had our 7th session this Tuesday. The post-session summaries are not what you'd think they are though; they are actually summaries of what was going on at some point during or at the end of the session it's named after.
