When Silas Greaves finds you
If you like shoot 'em up western-style video games, check out Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. They went back to their roots, and then gave said roots a tune-up overhaul.
Old Silas Greaves tells the story of how he became a gunslinger and bounty hunter driven by the traditional Wild West sense of justice. He brushes several well-known Wild West legends along the way, while frequently running into close encounters with death. Sometimes a few details need correcting, which is where the game draws the bulk of its humor. Neat little revolver-style skill trees fill up with bullets every time you spend a point on a skill, a point which was in turn earned by gaining experience. 50xp for killing an enemy, 25 extra on top of said 50xp for killing another, and so on, and that's the combo system(shooting some elements of the environment help you keep your combo when looking for another target, like a pumpkin or a bottle, to give examples). Headshots increase the score by another 50, generally anything besides the combo adds on another 50. Some skills in each of the skill trees complement other skills in different trees, so there's a little player customization involved. For extra xp, each level has a few "nuggets of truth" laying around. These "nuggets" are bits of real life info on all the events, people, and locations involved in or related to Silas Greave's journey.
And then there are duels. You have to keep your focus on the target, while simultaneously making sure your hand stays at a good position near your sidearm. The closer your hand(focus) is to your holster(target), the faster your speed(accuracy) increases. If you let it drift away, it'll decrease slower, and too far away and it'll decrease rapidly. Once you do draw, you'll have to lean out of the way to dodge your enemy's shots while waiting for your crosshair to line up adequately. When aiming any weapon, the crosshair of that weapon have to close into the center of the screen before you can make accurate shots. Fire too soon and you'll more than likely end up missing your targets by chance.
Gunslinger is currently available on Steam, and for another 38 hours since this post(CST) is on Steam sale for -35%, for a more-than-worthy $9. Remember when games used to cost that much? ...Neither do I. Go listen to Silas Greave's story and live his legacy, and shoot up a crap ton of outlaws and bandits to boot.

Lol. I didn't have any money for it and I wouldn't buy it on Steam anyway.

I saw AngryJoe play this game before E3. It seemed like a lot of fun. Much more interesting that the previous Cartel spin-off, which looked like any generic shooter. Unfortunately, I have too many games to play right now. Like The Banner Saga, Crusader Kings 2, Spate, Saints Row 4, Fire Emblem Awakening, The Witcher 2... and this list doesn't count the visual novels and regular novels I want to read.

Damn. Well it's $14 full price if you change your mind. I'd go as far as to say it's the best Western shooter ever made.
