Weaving Thread

Like it says, any further attempts by the party to Weave or any questions about Weaving, please post here. Same basic idea as the Feats thread.

Can I roll to craft for a Robe with +1 Dex?

Also if there is any CXP left I want to roll for a morphing QuarterStaff -> Crossbow, (light)

Both are simple weapons that should be able to use by my PC (QuarterStaff, short range bludgeoning and Crossbow long range piercing, no magic bolts sorry)

It’s a nice combo, and I can see it now, My PC would be pointing the staff at an enemy in the distance, and the enemy is like “what are you going to do, your too far way!” Then the staff shifts to a crossbow, and a shot is fired, piercing the enemy in the heart. As the Enemy is ding he gasps, "Darn that was so cool, and worth dying for!”

Oh yeah, I am starting with 8 points in my Weaving skill!

As usual, once you roll 'em it's set in stone, so if you'd like to start with the weapon or robe (your pick) then just lemme know and roll it up.

That's high enough to succeed and reduce the CXP cost to 1.

I'm afraid that's going to eat up the last of your CXP, but you do succeed in making your transformer weapon.

Over the course of the previous night, can I do some weaving? I want to weave my mask to give a bonus to disguise and deception.

At your level and skill the absolute best possible result would be a total of +6, that is to say +4 / +2, or +3 / +3, or whatnot. It would also probably cost a CXP or 2. Either way very feasible and possible, if you want to roll it.

I'll go with an even spread of whatever bonus I get, and if I don't roll well enough for it to cost only 1 CXP, I'll burn an AP

Just as I note, time-wise I wanted to weave the mask the night before we leveled up.

Meant to quote the previous post but whatever. I was going to have it happen prior to leveling anyways, you burn 1 CXP to get the mask with +2 Disguise, +2 Deception. I didn't make you burn an AP, but I'll allow it if you'd like which would, at best, bump one of those up to +3.

Make that disguise +3 and we have a deal

i would like to try weaving a ring from one of the gold coins im thinking that tab would try it on the night of the 27th on the way back from Kheynth then if i have any crafting xp left i would like to try and ench it with +1 cha if i can?

Total results: 1 CXP cost to get 1 golden ring (material already existing, helped) with +1 CHA.

i would also like to attempt to make a second ring (im thinking this attempt will be made on the last night before getting to Al-Ferin the 30th i think)

this one using silver coins im aiming for +1cha on this one too but ill be fine if i only manage to make the ring, Tabran is experimenting with weaving as when he was training he didn't show any interest in it but after seeing how it was used in the last two missions he had developed an interest in its working, he will be talking to Kolson about it (if we live past the Golem).

just a quick question about CXP: when we leveled, did we gain any CXP? i haven't used any yet so do i have more than 2?

I'm pretty sure you do get additional crafting experience, although I do not know the exact formula since I am on my phone and cannot look at the documents right now. it should be in the reference document.

If I read it right you get your level in cxp so at level 2 I think you should have 3cxp if you haven't used any.
