Just a reminder to folks but Arch's campaign is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

So first I had trouble last week trying to connect to Arch's Vent server, but it just wouldn't go through. Now I'm having the same problem with Third's server, and I only ever used it on one day. Is the server only up whenever the creator wants it to be?

It's not even giving me an error either, it just says "contacting server" and it's not changing or giving me any indication that there's a problem.

Happening to me right now too, Rory.

Same thing for me.

This could destroy us, we need a fix or a substitute.

Actually it seems that there's just 3 episodes and an outtakes video. So yeah, pretty short. First one is the best out of all of them.

Today is Valentine's Day. A special day.  I received my Titanfall beta key.

I've taken some time to reflect on my character from the Dereth campaign, and I realized that I've been trying to make him look badass in attitude and demeanor the entire time. Early on, in an effort to drive away the Arnold impressions, I decided to emulate a more outspoken and generally openly broody character in the style of a secondary character from a favorite game(quoted as "taking his accent"); however, I ended up playing him essentially as the irrational/emotionally-stupid type, very close to a trope(and playing a character dangerously close to a trope is not a good thing, as I've learned). It helped when we all started using voice chat and that discouraged me from even trying to use the deep Floridan accent, and so I steered away from that and decided on something a little more unique to me as a person(at one time I tried to sound like another character from another favorite game, and I cringe when I think about both of these attempts).

From walking out of the Light trial, I decided I was going to have a different demeanor and overall tone that would help significantly in reducing my character from being straight-up irrational to being "ruled by emotions", or maybe also that, but there is a difference between "irrational" and "emotional".

You've all probably noticed a change between the tone of my character's text dialogue and my voiced dialogue, a change in tone and behavior I think you'll appreciate when the campaign comes out of hiatus and we get back to playing again.

And back to the videos. This one is JonTron's latest video: a review of all the bootleg pokemon games. He goes into great detail about the intricacies of the art design, the plot development, the--He blasts the shit out of 'em.

Did you know that trolling in Dark Souls makes you a more balanced person? It's true.

And of course comments are disabled. I don't understand what you mean, but it here's what it definitely makes you: a dick. This is why during the short time I played Dark Souls, I played offline.

She's not a dick. She's a) a girl, b) the one getting invaded, c) that area is as close to a PvP arena as you get in that game, and d) i wish all the invaders that ever killed me had been anywhere near that creative. Also, you only get invaded while in human form, and you have to do THAT very much deliberately. She does do something on one of her videos that made me go "you evil bitch!", but i said that while laughing pretty hard, regardless.

Good trolling in this game is pretty much an art form all of it's own, especially after the PC version brought in all the little trainer bitches out of the woodwork. Try going against some moron with zero skill, but some cheat to give himself infinite health, and you'll know what it's like to want to punch someone over the internet. There's cheap trolling too, make no mistake, but this one's not one of those, by far.

Well okay, technically she's a girl, so certain phrases must therefore be excluded, okay. Not.

And well, well, 'scuse me, sorry, comin' t'ru, don't really know any more about the online features of this game other than you can leave messages and attack people.

About the character discussion Rory...

While I think our characters' personalities were pretty rough at the beginning, I always thought that even if Rory was a flawed individual, he was at least consistent in his development. It's quite difficult for me to determine where the original Rory begins and the new one ends, which is a good thing. I tried to do the same thing with Zeiss, since his original self was uninteresting. Though I think it was easier for me since he was more or less a blank slate which was easy to build on. While your character may have taken some bad decisions, it never annoyed me and instead made me wonder on how he would change. I can't say the same for Zeiss, who surely annoyed a few people, like the blackmail event (which I don't regret as a player).

In summary, for a a new D&D player, I think you did just fine.

Arch, when do you regularly do your streams? What days and at what time? It's been a while and I haven't been able to catch you when I thought you usually did them.

I've actually had both Arch's and Third's twitch windows open by default for a few days now, just in case, and so far nothing.
