Wow K. That's going to be hard to beat.
But while I search, I give you:

Yes. They made a sequel.

I wish lasers looked cool when they are being used. Then the visuals would match the outcomes.

I do. It's a fun watch, if preachy at times. I like how it stands for integrity in the news and the newsroom though. I wish more journalists would try to act that way.

News. Room. Journalism.

I took an intro journalism class in high school and for a couple weeks it was the single worst extracurricular choice I ever made. I remembered thinking, "this must be hell for writers." And it's just me, but I'm not interested in a story made out of the regular day-to-day of the place where creative writing goes to die(quickly, if it's not in an article making an attempt to hook the audience first with a little feel trip). I managed to escape, in case you wanted to hear the happy ending.

As for the whole integrity thing, I'd rather watch a documentary. I'm also not big on documentaries either.

I've also never seen or heard of the show Newsroom, so take that with a grain of salt. I'm just not interested.

Yeah, it can get a bit too... happy. In a quasi-campy sort of way, but i don't think it's crossed that line for me yet.

I've had my serving of a cold down-to-earth depiction of journalism in the 5th season of The Wire (David Simon was a journalist, after all), so i can take a bit of romanticizing for a change, provided all else holds water, and it does for me. I get a feeling the lead character is based on Keith Olbermann, from the time he did political commentary (Sorkin appears to have spent time on his set in particular, doing research, so i guess it's only natural). Also, witty dialogue, good pacing, likable characters, and people talking all over each other, which is always a treat for me to watch, for some reason. Definite win for me.

Look at this wonderful animated short film I found. It's called "Poulette's Chair" and no, it wasn't made by Studio Ghibli. Smile

I really liked this video. Thanks for sharing. I have my own suggestion and you only need to watch the first three minutes. This segment is so funny that even TotalBiscuit burst out laughing.

There's a difference between faking it for hilarity's sake and the real thing. Either way, it takes guts and preparation, and bravo to him for pulling it off.
