- OOC:
- Yes, good idea.
What are the rest of you doing?
"Yes, Master Yoda," the children respectfully say in unison. With well practiced efficiency they quickly gather up the practice balls and deposit them into a bin that one of the Temple Droids brings in for the purpose. Once complete, they line up in neat rows, waiting for Yoda to tell them what to do next.
Korra can't see through Vahrran, Dake, or the half-closed door so she says, "What is going on? Is Ominae okay? I don't hear him anymore."

Re: Transition Stuff
Dake looked at the scene with big eyes, confused as to what was exactly happening. And this is why he responded to Korra's question like he did.
"I... I don't know. Here, take a look."
He backed away from the door and pushed her gently so that she could take his place.
"Now, if you know why Ominae changed into a little green alien who is as good looking as Boop, feel free to intervene. As for me, I'll just stand here and hide."
And so he did. Since Dake knew Korra could use the Force to some extent, he stood behind her, his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to use her a shield against whatever these ghostly kids could throw towards their group. He hid his face behind her back, occasionally peeking at the scene.

"I believe he as become part of the illusion. Something must be maintaining it," Vahrran reasons. "Ominae, can you hear me? Look toward me."
- Perception:
- I'm going to look around the room. It seems all we've been notified occupying this room are the three children. What else is there?
I'm also looking for anything that might be related to the illusion.
In addition, I want to mark and remember, via spatial awareness, the location at which Ominae started to turn into a green man. It'll be part of a test.
Perception roll: for all this, I'm taking 10 on my check.

Re: Transition Stuff
- OOC:
- I'll quote myself from page 3.
"Twelve ghostly Jedi younglings* are at play in what looks like a ghostly classroom. Their hover chairs have been pushed against the wall and the troupe is practicing levitating balls into each other. The [balls] are about the size and weight of a soccer ball (football if you prefer :p). The younglings all look about seven or eight and range in species. Three in particular stand out.
A small Caamasi boy, lithe and fast. He is dodging the balls without returning them to the others, instead pushing them off into the wall. The other kids are starting to complain but he answers mater-of-factly that "If I don't return them, then you can't throw them at me anymore."
One of the protesters is a lanky, green-skinned Mirialan girl with long black hair tied into a double-braid. "Come on Ylenic, that's not fair. You are supposed to throw them back!"
A human boy wearing the green robes of a Corellian Jedi initiate sits apart from the others. He is taller than the rest and has long dark hair and broad shoulders. His face is currently screwed up in concentration as he struggles mightily to lift the ball with his mind. He isn't having much luck.
The rest are indistinct and out of focus shadows, there and interacting but having no real part in the proceedings."
You mark the change from boy to illusion at roughly 4 feet into the room. The room itself looks to be 20 ft by 30 ft but you find it difficult to get a real reading on the exact size and dimensions of the room because of the warping effect of the illusion. (Perception Check Result = Failure)
With one look Korra's face turns sheet white. "I've never seen anything like this. Ominae! Ominae can you hear us?!"
- k:
- I'll just wait for you to continue the lesson. And no, Ominae can't hear them. Well, at least for now. We'll see what Vahrran does. :p

- Since Ominae is not actually Master Yoda, i'll temper his speech with some of Ominae's own expression, which is less formal and seasoned. I'm aiming to make it a subtle thing, not an overt one, since the kid is not without some wisdom of his own, i daresay.
*Observes, as the younglings line up, before continuing.
"This little ball game you just took part in is a way for you to reach out with the Force and affect the world around you. The first theme of your ability in the Force, however, pertains to something more basic, but no less important. Say, you could, that the foundation of your life as a Jedi, it is.
Control, we call it. Of what, i hear you ask? Affect their surroundings to some extent, any creature can throughout it's life, but to truly control oneself is an art not very many get to master. Yet for us, essential it is to first master ourselves, for our own sake and that of those around us.
Centered on your own body and mind Control is. Impossible for us it is to extend the Force if remain in control of ourselves we cannot."
- ooc:
- Now that i've explained the root concept, i'll pause for a second to let the younglings catch up, and answer any questions they may have (and read up myself, btw). I'll wait for a few seconds before i move up to meditation proper.

"Ascertained; he cannot," Vahrran replies to the diplomat, "and if the illusion is at least forthright visually, there may be one other sentient being trapped in it. We might not be able to help without entering it... Jim, give me a hand with this door."
- Strength:
- Opening the door. I rolled a 6. If Jim and I are both struggling, I will ask Korra to give us a hand: "Korra, it seems two pairs of hands are not enough..."
- planned actions:
- After opening the door, Vahrran moves towards the spot where Ominae changed and reaches out with his hand to test and define the boundary of the illusion's effect.
- ooc:
- For my character alone, I need to roll Galactic Lore to determine how well I'm handling the situation right now. Aside from the previous illusion we all escaped from, have I ever heard of anything like this, or these "tangible" sort of illusions in general?
Result is 11, untrained.

Re: Transition Stuff
With a grunt of assent, Jim moves forward to help Vahrran with the door. Between the two of them, they manage to shove the door into it's cavity in the wall enough for a full-grown adult to squeeze through.
Vahrran manages the squeeze by taking off his pack. Jim hands it to him once he is through. Walking towards the "boundary" produces a similar effect to Ominae's, causing the children and the old Jedi to take on a more solid form. When he reaches out and touches the boundary...
...Vahrran is replaced by a middle-aged and portly human man. He wears the robes of a Jedi, twin lightsabers, and walks with a confident gait. Surely he has a good reason for interrupting Yoda's class.

- Rory:
- You are now caught up in a powerful compulsion. For all intents and purposes, Vahrran is now Jedi Master Micah Giiett, a human member of the Jedi High Council. You have no memory of being Vahrran nor are you aware that you are caught up in an illusion. You can read about your new and temporary character here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Micah_Giiett
While a friendly and portly fellow and a skilled duelist, he lacked any aptitude for precognition, ie meditation and a sense for the future.
Your mission: Your friend Jedi Master Yoda, has asked you to attend his meditation class in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. There is a Corellian boy there who lacks aptitude for telekinesis and he hopes that by meeting and talking to you that you can help the boy to see that not being good at one aspect of the Force is not the end of the world.
The boy's name is Nejaa Halcyon, and he is wearing the green robes of a Corellian Jedi initiate. The humans of Corellia have always been a proud and independent sort and their Jedi are no different. You see, they follow a few of their own traditions, including wearing green Jedi robes.
Roleplay Tips- While sitting to the side respectfully would make the most sense, please don't do that because that is boring. Feel free to interject your ideas on not relying fully on the Force to do all of your thinking and feeling for you. But be respectful. Yoda is an old friend of yours and being as ass in his classroom is not cool.
Reward- If you roleplay this well, I'll award you with a Force Point. If you do really well, I may reward you with a destiny point.
If you have any questions, just ask. And remember, to have fun with this while it lasts.

- Now that Rory has joined you I'll give you some more details.
Your friend and fellow member of the Jedi High Council, Micah Giiett, has joined your class at your behest. While an accomplished and respected Jedi, Master Giiett lacks any aptitude for precognition, the act of predicting the future. You hope that by having him meet the Corellian boy Nejaa Halcyon that the Youngling can see that not being good at telekinesis is not the end of the world.

At the sight of Vahrran transforming into a Jedi, Dake could do nothing but keep hiding behind Korra.

- Alright, since the kids seem as uninquisitive as they were in Episode 2, i'll keep the lecture going.
Yes, Dake, transforming into a Jedi is a very bad thing (especially after order 66). Stay back or you'll turn into one too!
Rory, just so you know, there's good info on the character you're playing on wookiepedia. He's a pretty cool dude, from what i've read.
*Yoda smiles and nods at Micah.
"Well, Younglings seems like we have a visitor today. Standing in on our class Master Giiett will be, and helping with any difficulties you'll need to overcome, he will. A challenging path you're about to take, troubled or embarrassed you should not be to ask for help."
- ooc:
- I'll just assume the kids greet him while i'm writing this line, and move on.
"The key to aligning your mind and body with the spirit and will of the Force, meditation is. It allows the Force to center you, revitalize your body and sharpen your mind. Many Jedi meditate for long periods, but even a brief moment can greatly help you.
Several forms of meditation there are, but the Empty Form is what we'll be trying today. Your negative emotions it purges, and helps you achieve deep inner peace.
Now, Younglings, your minds, clear..."

- Whew, my first day off since the weekend. I've been wanting to respond but I've been too tired. Thank you for your patience.
After greeting the Jedi Master, the children take up the basic Lotus position and attempt to do their best to clear their minds. But the class is feeling a bit unruly today after the exercise session and are generally having trouble maintaining their focus.
Ylenic starts fidgeting and quickly grows bored. He starts using the Force surreptitiously to bat the Mirialan girl's braids, completely foiling her attempts to comply. The Correllian boy is trying to quietly get him to stop, which is to say that his admonishing whispers are not quiet at all and only draw the attention of the rest of the class who have begun giggling.
Meanwhile the Mirialan girl looks about ready to explode.
---------------
"It certainly isn't good," Korra replies to Dake, "We must free them."
She starts rubbing her chin between her right thumb and pointer finger, attempting to cudgel together a solution from her training and experiences. "Perhaps we could throw something at them? I mean, pain worked before."

Re: Transition Stuff
At Korra's idea, Dake cannot stop himself from making big eyes.
"Throw something at them? That seems like a bad idea. They just might perceive us as training dummies and they'll be the ones to throw stuff at us. No no no no no. Let's just the rest of that thing play out. That's like a holo-vid, right? Hey, maybe you should go with them? I'll cheer you up from here."

- Alright, my next move hinges on me being able to effectively use my telepathy - i'm just not sure of who's abilities i'm using here, Ominae's or Yoda's. If it's the former, i assume this message will get across a lot more blurred, but id still like to get the overall point across.
I should ask you first, Kolson, but with all the back and forth we wouldn't get there before the session, so if you say i can't do this, i guess we can just make like i never said anything.
*Yoda reaches out with the force in order to communicate with Nejaa.
"Mmmmm, troublesome situation we have here. If your attempts to be subtle only seem to compound the problem, perhaps assertive you should be. Better it come from you than from me, or from young Ria, who at patience's end seems. Firm, but not aggressive, i suggest you be. Counting on you i am, young Nejaa."
