Yeah, if we're out of sight right now, a smoke bomb will just give us away, you know.

If you like, I'm sure that there are cheaply made smoke bombs for the purposes of flashy entrances and exits in the storefront across the road, part of a standard light show for theatrical introductions as per Burun culture. 10 gold apiece. They smell like eggs.

Zeiss won't take any of those unless they spread butterflies.

*contemplative look*

Arch, is it possible to weave a bomb that spreads butterflies when it explodes?

That's a shame. They would have been so beautiful.

*sigh*

Since I took a smoke bomb from the party's inventory, someone should strike it from his inventory. Don't worry, I'll use it only if necessary.

Well if we're talking real butterflies, first you have to put them inside the thing. Assuming that can be managed to satisfaction, they need to survive inside without food and moisture until the buyer uses the bomb. Then they have to survive the blast, and I think that'd be a "no". To make matters worse, everyday rogue's 'r' us smoke bombs use a chemical toxic to insects. I certainly hope no one in the crowd today had any pet butterflies.

K, give your nod of approval and go scouting with Zeiss. Kolson and I will go hide in a barrel within the block on which the tavern is located.

In all honesty a real butterfly smoke bomb is basically totally out of the question. A few seconds of butterfly illusion on the other hand is far more feasible.

Magical butterflies! They need to be of different colors and fly off in a pattern. Oh oh! I know I know! Butterflies that represent each element. Isn't that a cool idea? Yes it is.

As soon as we get back to Holtburg with our food, we need to weave some of these grenades.

And thank you Kolson for that bomb.

Sorry, i'm away from home.

Far be it from me to sit out the action, but i think the rule of thumb for scouting is the less the merrier.

I don't know what to think about that. Okay, we didn't give Zeiss a comm stone. Uhm, send us Advoc so that we can all come hang out around the outside of the establishment. Higaide, Kolson, and Javan could go inside and search for the confiscated equipment. Kolson could check for magical devices meant to impede us, Javan can stick with him and be "knowledgable" about what they find, if anything. If we don't want Zeiss to be seen, I can make a Gather Info check to gossip with the bartender and patrons to learn if the soldiers have been here and "what on earth they wanted with this place". It wouldn't get results as good as if Zeiss did it, though.

There needs to be a way to test the waters in order to determine if Zeiss can walk in without being identified as a convicted murderer. I guess I could go in and test their attitude toward the soldiers who came here, find out if they're aware of someone being captured, or if they know what to watch out for(if they've seen the posters).

Usually, I would agree with this plan and vote that we go through with it. In his last post however, Arch controlled my character, which is the kind of thing he doesn't do lightly. I believe that's his way of saying "you can go ahead and take your stuff back".

Which is what I'll do.

Me too. Then we can abscond with our sweet loot and finally leave this area of Sho behind us.

Edit: When we eventually get back to Holtburg we should do some smaller jobs. We haven't done anything for just money in a while and our funds are starting to get low. Perhaps Lady Lightmane or Bonebreaker might have some leads.

Well, I got it. I hope you guys don't mind that I moved us along towards the next objective. Feel free to add something if you feel I missed something.

We'll then be able to plan our assault.

Those woven coins, it's scary to think about.

Well, I'm into it. We didn't get all that resin for nothing. We've got some stuff to use and nobody's in danger, I say we go through with our ambush, set me loose, and if we manage to crush the tanks and hold our own instead of defeating whatever we can before we die and limping away, we can take the fight to the footsies and then sift through the aftermath for valuables and clues.

If there are more coins, and they get scattered, it might alert whoever wove the spell that something is going on.

Well, there are no tanks for us to attack. Should we just leave? We could make sure there are no tracking devices left then take the boat back to Holtburg with our shipment of food.

Unless you guys want to run around town to find them which seems more and more dangerous the longer we stay here.

If they are gone we should get gone as well.

Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing our resident hulk smash some tanks.
