Re: Welcome back home
Well, thank you Rory. By the way, didn't you send your character's mom to Colier to protect her from the assassins? Unless it was for Kolson's family only.
Also, Zeiss' family business won't happen until the second day we stay in Holtburg.
Also edited my to-do list.

Re: Welcome back home
Task 1: While Zeiss checks in with Lightmane I want to see how things are going at the Exchange. I'm sure they have a few fires I could help put out.
I'll see the following people in this order: Bonebreaker (for political reasons), Van (because I trust him), Oghren (because he might have a different view on things), and whatever other Exchange lieutenants are in town, if only to make an appearance and see what they are up to and/or need.
Task 1a: Ask Bonebreaker about Tia (sister) and Iri (niece). I'll visit if I can or make time in the immediate future if things have to be arranged first.
Task 1b: See if Van is ready to quit yet. I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to work in the Exchange anymore and Kolson hasn't forgotten his promise to find a replacement. Now that he's returning Kolson might be able to take over his duties. We'll see.
Task 2: Plan the next Exchange expansion. I know we talked about some mining towns to the west of Holtburg once upon a time. I'll confer with Bonebreaker and Zeiss about whether or not that is wise at this point.
Task 3: Zeiss told me he has a plan for trying to suss out the assassins. I'll help with that if he needs me.
Task 4: Help Javan with his merc plan if he needs it. It's a good cause and I'd like to see it succeed.
I wish I had more plans than that but I'm going to need more data about the current situation in Holtburg and Aluvia before I can do so, sorry.

Re: Welcome back home
I'll update my previous post. I'll add to the IC thread when we all know what we're each doing.
Right, forgot, Rory's mother is in Colier. I'll write a little letter instead, letting her know I'm still alive. No addresses(recipient or returning) or names, I'll give it directly to Bonebreaker. He knows where it goes and who it's for. If my siblings haven't wrote back, I'll understand.
Instead of visiting the Exchange, I'll visit Kolson later and have him relay any opportunities for work.
Javan has Rory's blessing to recruit among the refugees. I can be present for one instance, if declaring my support and giving a firsthand, leak-proof account of my time with Javan will help. That should be enough for word-of-mouth to spread where his best interests are concerned specifically involving humans.
Arch, what are Aluvian's policies/principles regarding governemt regulation of mercenary groups/orgs?

Updating
Report to Lightmane (Zeiss seems to have that covered - i just hope i'm not in the vicinity when she reads about the part where he implicated her), get the Rapier scanned (i spent the whole night diving into freezing water to recover that thing, dammit), and i'll help with whatever plan there is to flush out the assassins.
Long term, i'd like to try and take on the Elemental Temple Trials, if that's alright.

It's going to take some time before Zeiss can even investigate the assassins. You could go to a temple right now. The Fire Temple is the closest one you haven't been to.

Thanks, but we won't able to communicate if i just take off. I'll study the map, and see how efficiently i can swing by between temples or something.

Rory, just to make sure, you know its your turn to answer in the RP thread you and Kolson are playing, right?. If you just didn't have time to answer these last few days, that's okay, I understand. It's just something that doesn't seem to happen very often to you.

Zeiss also (correctly) guesses that I am waiting for roleplays to finish before moving forward.

Re: Welcome back home
It looks like we will have to reassess our turns and whatnot. Let's grab info first, figure out the current standing of the Aluvian kingdom and international relations. Now that a few days have passed, what is the attitude general populace of Dereth towards the devastating attack on Marblebush and its surrounding area? What is the attitude of the four nations?

Re: Welcome back home
Well you can go ahead and send those letters, Zeiss, I don't care. In consideration for trying to contact our families, I was saying we should go in person if we intend to find out if they're alright. But they're on the other side of the continent, so scratch that.
I made ability checks for remembering Ursolan's name via Intelligence or Wisdom, but unless I can take 10 for a 13(Int) or 12(Wis) to get a success, I'm pretty sure 6(Int) and 8(Wis) both fail. And this is just for trying to figure out his name, I'm sure someone among us or at the docks knows what it is.

Ursolan is Lady Lightmane liaison. Unless you're asking if your character remembers.

Well, yes I am. Anyway it only matters in the sense that either I know what name to drop when I'm looking for him, or I'm just dumbly asking for "the drudge". Thanks for letting my character know!

Re: Welcome back home
I don't think it's something worth rolling a dice for. You can choose whether your character remembers Ursolan's name or not.
In any case, I posted something to answer your question.

Re: Welcome back home
Now that the Hub is closed in Aluvia, it looks like your project to visit the Elemental Temples won't go as smoothly as expected K. Wish I could help you like I did with Javan, but I have no idea how to do so. Sorry.

Choose? Instead of the dice? And spoil the fun!?
We do need an airship. We should visit the Olthoi and get our damn ship back. And maybe get their support. Y'know, while we're at it. As a secondary objective.

Re: Welcome back home
Arch, whatever happened to the Leycite? Higaide was the last one who had it I think? Did the other party take it? I assume so. Just so we're clear. Kolson simply asked me the question.

Re: Welcome back home
I think Zeiss was the one who had it the Leycite, and don't worry about my thing with the temples. I feel bad enough for not doing something more tangible to help the party, instead of pursuing my own thing.
As for the Skyclaw, it's just not gonna happen. The Olthoi have effectively taken possession of the craft, and i'd likewise very much doubt they'd lift a finger to help our enterprise. Also, foreigners are not permitted within Central. They die. Very tragic (but kinda funny).
If we had Rekarg, we could try and take one of the 100+ similar warships that are scattered around the planet, but we need a Scion to lift the final system locks, and Fierneceal is off doing her own thing (not that i'm not worried that someone else may already have their paws on some of them).

I'm usually pretty good with remembering details like that but for the life of me I cannot remember who has the Leycite right now.
