The Fight For Javan

The Elf Leftennant fails his roll miserably and stares at Kolson with what could only be considered total bewilderment. "Are you completely off your rocker? Since when have we done anything other than help and provide aid to the those being damaged by the horrible mess that people like you are causing! What the hell do you think you're doing, making a civil war happen NOW of all times?" The Elf continues, his tone actually rising in tone and anger. "The very thought of exploiting Elementals for your war who's only purpose is to line your pockets with a bit more greed is frankly disgusting and I think the world would be a better place if every single selfish vad'chen like you was sealed away for all time, far from actually civilized people!" A bit of spittle from his rant sprays onto the ground and his eyes are full-on glaring.

"Like our comrade you were trying to seal just now?" - Higaide asks flatly, unimpressed.

The Elf looks at Higaide, further confused. "Seal? Comrade? Are you just ignorant, Human, or are you spouting some kind of Vesayen nonsense?"

Oddly, Higaide's sunny disposition ceases to be, as he turns to fully face the Leftennant, a rather icy stare in his eyes. He takes one step, two, three, until he's right by the prisoner, and asks clear and deliberately (in a similar tone as a cyborg ninja might ask where is my friend):

"Why did you attack my friend, sir?"

The Elf seems confused for a second. "Are you... you really were using an Elemental as a weapon, weren't you?" His voice has gone fro anger to a degree of horrified shock. "You were using an Elemental to fight your wars for you, to kill and die for you.." He stops speaking, but his expression clearly shows how disgusted he is.

Higaide's irritation subsides, as he can't help but pity the man just a bit.

"Is that what the Order thinks?" - he asks, almost rhetorically.

Keeping up the tone whiplash Kolson goes completely serious. "Now, now, settle down Order tool before I take your disparaging comments against my friends personally. And no, you specifically weren't here to help anyone, you are hunting rogue elementals. In the middle of a war zone no less. Except you got it wrong. There are no elementals here, for war or otherwise. You guys need to get your eyes checked. That was clearly a fairy suffering from an elemental imbalance. It wasn't intentional and had nothing to do with this battle. Rest assured we are doing all that we can to help our friend in this time of uncertainty and that Order help is neither needed nor wanted at this time.

In the mean time, for your own safety you and your buddies will be detained until the battle is over. My friend here will escort you to your quarters, which will be far away from any fighting and in a very safe place."

Higaide follows suit and escorts Leftennant Bum out of the hot zone, and to the Exchange Headquarters.

Just need to know: have we learned about the Tuskers yet? I am planning something and this information may prove crucial.

I know i haven't. Like, literally, i have no idea what information is that.

Just the beginning of the end of the world. Don't worry about it.

I'm going to include them in the report as the only survivors. We'll treat them, keep them out of the way, and then let them go at the end of the fight. We only need the one. That way we can decide what to do with the leader at our leisure. And if we end up letting him go later, well the confusion of the battle and all that. Clearly some kind of mix up, what can you do? Also, we are criminals, we do criminal things I guess.

I'll dictate a report about our rescue and recovery efforts of the unknown airship and how many survivors there were (whatever is left minus the one we are keeping captive) along with my belief that there was some kind of accident with a new Order weapon that they were testing under the guise of hunting rogue elementals which ended up destroying their ship and killing a number of their crew. I'll have it sent to the Lady of Holtburg's command immediately.

And then I'll return to commanding the Exchange troops in the battle. I hope Higaide will join me again as his help is invaluable.

Wasn't Higaide like almost at 0 HP?

I think he was at 1, at one point, but then did a badass heal and Javan kicked up a storm. So now, i'm assuming Kolson's heal worked on me, so i should be ready to go. If not, i'll treat myself to a heal check, i guess, and try to restore as much of my HP as possible.

And yeah, of course Higaide will rejoin the action, his help being invaluable and all.

Btw, I'd like to point out that the ship still has its core intact (except for the Magic EMP thing, sorry about it guys), so If we have anyone with the skills to retrieve it, it might be a good idea to do so.

@Essoje Good catch. We'll put together a salvage team after the major fighting ends. If we move fast enough I bet we could at least get the engine. That alone could prove to be valuable later.
