One of my parents immigrated to Myr and gave me a name not necessarily "Free Feather" in origin, but familiar to their language.

Rory, you might want to get Improved Toughness instead of just Toughness. Toughness only gives you +3 period, while Improved Toughness will give you +1 for each level.

IMPROVED TOUGHNESS:

IMPROVED TOUGHNESS [GENERAL]
You are significantly tougher than normal.
Prerequisite: Base Fortitude save bonus +2.
Benefit: You gain a number of hit points equal to your current Hit Dice. Each time you gain a HD (such as by gaining a level), you gain 1 additional hit point. If you lose a HD (such as by losing a level), you lose 1 hit point permanently. Special: A fighter may select Improved Toughness as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Edit: So, how is the Paladin in Arch's system? I know where to find the info on mana formula, but where's the information about spells and such?

PALADIN: A Paladin gains 1 Basic White spell at level 1, a second Basic White spell at level 4, 1 Medium White spell at level 8, a second Medium White spell at level 12, and 1 Heavy White spell at level 16. A Paladin starts with 1 Mana, and gains at a formula of Level – 1 per level.

Update that information with the mana chart, and you're good to go. Everything else is like standard 3.5 D&D.

For a list of spells, and anything else really, check this LINK.

Forgot to specify something; you use the human stats from 2d0srd:
  • 1 extra feat at 1st level.
  • 4 extra skill points at 1st level and 1 extra skill point at each additional level.

Sorry, my own damn fault. Also, here's your starting money. Finally found the damn formulas.

Druid = 2d4 x 10 gp
Sorcerer, Wizard 3d4 x 10 gp
Barbarian, Bard = 4d4 x 10 gp
Cleric, Monk, Rogue = 5d4 x 10 gp
Fighter, Paladin. Ranger = 6d4 x 10gp

Do not roll for it; you get the maximum of money available. For example, a druid would get 80gp.

Here's where you can shop: The Mighty Unicorn

I think I can trust you guys to keep track of the money.

Awesome. Heavy Armor proficiency ho! And I will take up Javan's suggestion and take Improved Toughness(I'm taking +1 for the current level) instead of Toughness. Those will be my starting feats.

Also, I want you all to know: I'm not taking any knowledges. I'm not that kind of mage. In fact, here, I will go ahead and share with you my sheet.

So listen, how do you guys feel about playing with an Evil party member?

@Zeiss How about it Zeiss? Do you want to dip your toe into the evil well your first time out? Not much point of discussing it if that isn't something you're interested in as the GM.

How do we figure out Intuit again? It's been way too long.

Are we using the current action point system or the old one?

Can I take the Luck of Heroes feat?

Luck of Heroes:
Luck of Heroes
Type: Regional
Sources: Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
Player's Guide to Faerûn

Your land is known for producing heroes. Through pluck, determination, and resilience, you survive when no one expects you to come through.
Prerequisite: Elf (Elven Court, the Forest of Lethyr, or the Yuirwood), gloaming (Sphur Upra), half-elf (Aglarond), halfling (Channath Vale or the Western Heartlands), or human (Aglarond, the Dalelands, Tethyr, Turmish, or the Vast).
Benefit: You receive a +1 luck bonus on all saving throws and a +1 luck bonus to Armor Class.
Special: You may select this feat only as a 1st-level character. You may have only one regional feat.

@Kolson  Rory already shared his backstory and I agreed to it, albeit it was after I got some reassurances on one particular point.

We're using the new Action points system; one combat AP and one non-combat AP per day.

As for the feat, sure, you can take it.

Since that's the case I'm fine with it Rory. Just don't do anything to hurt me or mine and we'll get along fine.

Guys, i need some help here to make sure i didn't screw up, if you don't mind.

Making a Rogue with 17 INT. Going by the formula posted here, that should give me 44 skill points to distribute, which is the biggest number i ever got. Going by the usual limit of level+3, i still end up with two points left over after i max out every class skill.

Assuming i did this right, what can i do with those surplus points?

You have 48 skill points at level 1, since you gain +4 for being human... even though there are only humans in this setting. Still, you have it.

Also, it's impossible for you to have maxed out everything. You would need 104 skills points to do so. That's because all skills are class skills for a rogue, except weaving.

I'm generally going to make it a point not to start combat with both hands on my weapon. I propose switching to two hands is free, but switching from 1 hand to 2 for the expressed purpose of casting a spell(as in I'm committing to casting a spell before switching is done) is a Swift Action or a Move Action at my discretion.

Huh? Why are you trying to make the game harder for yourself Rory? Taking your hand off your weapon to cast the spell is a free action. Putting it back on your weapon is also a free action. And I'll remind you that you can always drop whatever you are holding on your turn as a free action so it's moot anyway if it's ever an issue.

Zeiss proposed this change in a PM with me, that switching to one hand to cast a spell should not be a free action. However, I am starting to question this.

After some thought I think I will not participate. I rather want to... but I'm barely keeping up with things as is. I hope you don't mind if I observe the adventure at least.

Kolson is right. You can scratch that Rory.

K, I'll have to take a look at your sheet tomorrow. I have to finish a homework for college today, but it's the last thing for this semester.

Sure Arch, no worries. If you want to jump in for the next adventure (assuming I ever run more than one), feel free to to do so.
