Quiet Afternoon
A delicate grip took the cup and sampled. "You always come up with the best blends. What is this?"
"Pomegranate with chai and a bit of cinnamon."
"Mm. I wonder if ginger would add to it?"
The response came with the barest hint of impatience. "No... that'd just give it too much bite." A pause. "I do wonder what is taking so long."
"I don't know. You were quite overt in your explanation. Perhaps they're considering?"
"Or," the other added darkly, "debating how best to deal with me without harming me."
"They'd never!"
A shake of the head. "I trust them, don't mistake me... otherwise I wouldn't even be here. But this isn't something to be dismissed idly." Another impatient sigh. "They're probably just taking their time, a lot to consider and so forth. So! How have things been?"
"Fascinating. I've been studying language lately, its usage and relevance to cultural and societal expansion and growth, as well as the obstacle it presents towards civilized cooperation..."
The two discussed for some time about this or that, enjoying drink and company as the topic shifted from language to culture to food to the effects of elemental energy on food. It had to have been several hours at least before, finally, a knock came at the door.
The two paused, and one called, "Come in."
The door, situated in the floor on a far side of the room, slid neatly away with a hiss and a scaled hand reached up for purchase. With surprising grace, a tall Moarsman climbed his way up through the door, which hissed shut behind him. "Pardon the interruption," he began, frowning, "I did not realize you already had a guest."
The woman's face twitched for merely a second, the slightest of reactions to the figure, but he did not seem to make any real notice of her. Thusly, she turned towards her companion and said, affecting an amused tone, "You seem to be quite popular today my dear."
The tall, green chitined Olthoi rose to her feet, offering a clawed hand towards her new visitor. "No interruption, I was merely conferring with an old friend." She shook the Moarsman's hand. "Kezrinthka of Worker, though I imagine you already knew that. Apologies, I don't truly recognize you... I imagine you are here on business?" Her elongated head tilted to the side curiously.
"Ah, of course, where are my manners." The Moarsman stretched to give a long bow of respect. "My name is Scargil of Pallidtone. And I feel there is a great deal for us to discuss."

Re: Quiet Afternoon
Of course! I knew it!
Naturally we'll be sending Kolson and Rekarg tomorrow to meet her. I don't think Kolson's met Scargil yet, but the team is set, can't meddle with IC stuff. Don't fail me, Kolson.

Re: Quiet Afternoon
Kolson will be able to go to Central only when he receives the proper paperwork. But knowing Arch, it should be very soon.
I don't think he can take anyone with him though. Only one person allowed, unless I made a mistake. And we need Rekkarg anyway.

Re: Quiet Afternoon
I asked if Snarg could come too, but it looks like he'll be busy trying to save his tribe, so shrug.
Who is Scargil of Pallidtone? I don't believe I ever met him in character but his name sounds familiar.

Re: Quiet Afternoon
Well, Rekkarg shouldn't go since we need him to get the anti-Gaerlan stuff.
EDIT : you totally should have killed Scargil. Yup yup!

Well, I was joking when I said we should kill him. But I guess we'll find out soon, won't we?
