February 14th: Announcements and Political Maneuverings

Morning rises slowly across the horizon. Those of you who make an early start of it find there is already news abuzz about some big incident last night that there will be a formal announcement on later today, details of which people are wildly speculating on. Similarly, with the Royal District finally re-opened thousands of people are flooding to their homes and families and getting a warm meal and a warmer bed for the first time in days, which has put the general mood of the city in good spirits.

Zeiss wakes up in a bed. Not entirely sure, he looks around the room he's in. It wasn't a cell. He is amazed that the others did break him out of jail. Not like he expected them to put themselves at risk to help someone like him. On this thought, Zeiss decides to leave the room for the restaurant. He hopes to see someone else there so they can discuss what to do next. They even managed to get their names cleared, which he thought was impossible. After this "announcement" is made, he will be able to walk freely anywhere.

He has a lot to be grateful for.

Awaking later than everyone else, Rory gets in a few stretches and warm-ups, then grabs a bottle of mead and snoops around for a way up to the roof of the inn.

You find a staircase that actually leads to a rooftop lounge area, which is currently empty. There are plenty of long, relaxing-looking chairs, a few sun umbrellas set up that can be opened or closed at your leisure, a few tables with regular chairs, and a barbeque stove.

After a good night's rest, Kolson spends some time Appraising the items found from Ashakel's Reliquary.

Axehelm: Gives a magical bonus to AC of 2, and a seperate Dodge bonus to AC of 3.

Orb of Firerend: Increases all fire damage done while wielding by 1d12.

Allegiance Collar: Increases Leadership Score by 1 per CHA modifier.

024 Robe: This robe constantly cycles between the 8 elements. Every 3 turns, it will randomly choose an element that the wielder will absorb damage from instead of be injured. The wielder has no control over what element is chosen, nor can they slow down the cycle.

Pearl: Once crushed this will, one-time only, summon a weapon of some sort. That weapon will last one hour before disappearing back where it came from.

Princely Partizan: A fine spear of +4 Material damage bonus, of some kind of alien material and make you cannot identify. It appears to have a spell effect built into it on striking, but you cannot identify it.

Rory shuts an umbrella and lays back on it, drinking a bottle of mead. He scans the rooftops nearby and makes note of any patrols on the rooftops and their routines, and any wary staff.

tab had a lay in and got up really late after stretching and going over his stuff he checked his watch and the time was 9:22 he went down stairs in the hope of still been able to get breakfast.

Snarg rises somewhat early and takes Zipar for a walk in the city. He looks excitedly around the new buzz and stops to listen curiously to a few of the rumors floating around.

Making his way to the courier service, he writes a letter out and sends it off.

After thanking the courier service, he sighs deeply and visibly relaxes himself. Suddenly grabbing Zipar, he laughs out loud and begins running wildly through the city, the orange lizard holding on to his pack, his flame burning brightly as it flares behind him.

Snarg continues his run around the city before finally exhausting himself and collapses on the nearest doorstep, panting heavily. "I haven't," he takes a few quick breaths, "haven't felt so relaxed in qutie some time, Zipar," he takes a few more breaths, "there's been so much happening the past few weeks I'd forgotten what it was like to just run carefree; so much pent-up energy."

When he gets to the restaurant, Zeiss sees Gwydo at a table signing for him. Curious, he goes to meet him and gives him an interrogative look. Gwydo says to him :

"Here. I had to fill in a lot of paperwork, but I managed to get your equipment back."

He points to his bag of holding. Zeiss, surprised by this, doesn't say anything at first. He looks at it and even find his gold back.

"Oh... thank you."

He waits a few moment, looks at the other party members who are there, then decides to talks again.

"You know... thank you for helping me out yesterday. I... I appreciate it."

He sits down at the table and orders the usual breakfast, trying to avoid the gaze of his companions.

tab takes a seat near Zeiss and orders some food for him and Hinata.

"no problem we couldn't let you just sit in there and rot what are friends for."

Trying to avoid answering to Tabran, Zeiss turns to the group and says :

"Well, I don't you for you, but I am going to hear this announcement after breakfast."

Snarg looks up from shoveling in his food and gives Zeiss an affirmative gesture. He then immediately proceeds to continue eating.

"well i need to grab a paper and check for something but we also need to talk over were we go from here?"

Zeiss starts eating his eggs and drinks some orange juice. He felt like a long time since he had a meal.

"Weren't you planning to go to Janwall? To help Kolson's business and at the same time, reestablish come economic liaison?"

"True i do want to go to Janwall something as been calling to me about that place since i first heard of it 4 days ago but Ritholme also sounds like its important too so i say we have a nosey around see what info we can get first then decide?"

"Janwall ith cwosher." Snarg says, swallowing his current mouthfull. "It'd make more sense to check that first and then loop around through Irondell and then Rithholme."

"wait there's something up in Irondell?"

"No, it's just on the way. No point in passing around it."

"We also need to work out what will happen with our cut from that deal we made? Ied say have it put into a bank here in Holtberg to keep it safe till we need it."

*Z has been sitting quietly in a coner with a bowl of fruit and a glass of a pink/red juice, upon hearing Zeiss' awkward attempt at thanking them, she nods clearly not know how to respond to such sentiment*

*After breakfast she heads up to her room carrying a tray with two small glasses of water, a bowl with fresh fruits and veggies, and three smaller bowls. Its clear to everyone that she is going upstairs to feed Sumomo, what's not clear to Zeiss is that she is actually going up to fee Eevee too. She returns about an hour later with Sumomo and Eevee, both of them bright and squeaky clean, having just got a bath. Eevee who was resting snugly in Z's arms catches sight or sent of Zeiss and squirms free of Z's arms and goes dashing over to her master the bow flopping around her neck.*

*Z clears her throat.*

"Ehm... She missed you.*

"I agree. It makes no sense to travel to Rithholme first, just to backtrack to Janwall. Especially if we are trying to work out trade routes for the.... For Bonebreaker."

Sethos rolls out bed and opens his curtains, before immediately regretting the decision and opting for darkness over a migraine. He cleans himself up and heads up to the restaurant, where he finds the rest of the gang, he walks over and sits down at their table.

"Morning all, what are we talking about?" He asks before looking over at Zeiss "Enjoying freedom again?"

Tab goes out to grab a paper then heads to the owl and waits for Baigen to show up.

Having his Eevee running to him was unexpected. He was wondering if she still would be with the rest of the group. She was purring happily against his neck.

"Hey Rainbow, here."

He gives her some dried pineapples that were in his bag of holding. She seems to appreciate her name and purr a little more while licking his cheek.

"Thank you Z. Rainbow... can you... can you stop? Just so that I can finish my breakfast."

on his way back from getting his paper Tab remembers that Zeiss has no idea about this meeting with Baigen and goes to get him first, on the way there he explains to Zeiss most of what happened with Baigen and this alliance of light for want of a better term and that they are meant to be meeting with him in Fier and Han's room at 10 am but that he wasn't sure if he would turn up as a lot have happened on the political landscape since the morning of the pasted day.
