February 20th:

*Z, ignoring the lunatic fairy, turns to Hanuel.*

"Okay so give me details.  Your note was vague.  How exactly did you end up in charge of this,"

*She cocks a thumb at the fairy.*

"raving lunatic?"

"I just saw him, amidst the refugees, about an hour ago," Hanuel replies, looking somewhat dull.  "He was beating up one of the Kobold Desolates I saw."

"Has he said anything intelligible?  Any clue why he's acting like this?  I'm assuming he wasn't always like this."

Hanuel shakes their head while Dara leans up against them morosely.  "Not a thing.  At least, nothing I've been able to catch.  But yes he was fine, he was fine, I used to talk with him, we were friends.  I've... never seen a Fairy act this way before."

"I have, once.  The more I look at him, the more I'm thinking they are one in the same.  If what is wrong with him is what I think is wrong with him... well then it would be best to give him peace."

*She is quiet for several moments, clearly reflecting on some past events, while watching and listening to the insane fairy.*

"I was right... his mind is broken.  If there is a way to save him, I don't know it.  The desolation was too much for him."

*She shakes her head.*

"If I knew a way to cure people of their inherent hate of desolation..."

*She channels magic in her hand, preparing to cast Bolt on the poor insane fairy.*

"NO!"  Hanuel literally leaps in-between you and the poor gentleman, arms outstretched.  Dara also moves behind Hanuel, still in the way.  "There has to be something we can do for him, some help possible?  Maybe if we just remove him from all the... problems?"

"Problems... you mean desolates.  Ah yes well I suppose for you they would be.  You're going to have a tough time of that.  This whole area is swarming with desolates, and this wave of refugees goes all the way to Holtburg, further if I'm not mistaken.  So, how do you suggest we remove the 'problems.'"

"I don't know, maybe you could go lightning fry them instead?!" Hanuel spits out, a bit harshly.  "Or maybe we just... I don't know."  They shake their head as Dara looks at them oddly, but Dara is also periodically looking around at the people in visual range, very on edge.

*Z's brow furrows in aggravation.*

"You going to loosing it on me too, or are you seriously suggest I run around killing innocents left and right to rid you of this annoyance."

*Z sigh's and runs a hand through her hair, then pulls up her cloak masking her face.*

"Fine... fine... we'll play it your way and let you both suffer.  Let me knock him out so we don't have to deal with squirming blathering insanity while transporting him.  We can take him to the Order outpost in the town Snarg made friends at...."

*She trails off.*

"On second thought I can take him to the Order.  You need to get some sleep.  The longer you are on your feet the more you will be bombarded with the desolation, and I'd rather not have you end up like your friend here."

Hanuel nods vaguely, glad for the idea of rest.  "I'm... I think I'll head to Marblebush, they still aren't letting refugees in so I can get some peace and quiet there."  They rub their eyes.  "Come on, Dara."

*Z waits until Hanuel has disappeared, and knocks the fairy unconscious grumbling about how much more troublesome it was to travel with others.  She then removes her hood, undoes her hair, pulling it up and under her face mask but leaving her face visible just her hair and head wrapped, she changes into her male attire, then heads off toward Wildeash.*

Z spends several hours taking her captive to Wildeash while everyone else deals with their own issues.
