*Z turns without a word and draws power into their palm a crakle of electricity sparks around their fingers with an angry menacing sound.*

To Zeiss:
"I believe some can only learn who is friend and how is foe through blows."

*abruptly Z lets the power die on their fingertips, and turns back toward the ship.*

"This is not good."

As soon as sparks crackle from Z's palms, Rory pulls his axe out and waves it at him. "You better drop that, right now."

Before lying back down and closing his eyes.

"I like surprises" He says with a chuckle before adding "Also, I'm not overly thrilled to hear that you think the negotiations are going badly" He says before taking another, long drag of his pipe, to the point that he coughs gently on the exhale.

Snarg groans, turns over, and plugs his ears.

*Turns to Zeiss.*

"This is going south. Someone with more knowledge of how bandits works needs to intervene quickly. You seem to have knowledge of such things, how confidant are you?"

Rory glanced toward Higaide out of the corner of his eye. "No," he replied fiercely. Looking aback at Z, he adds, "You threaten him, you threaten me."

Zeiss did not answer Rory's question since he saw that the negotiations weren't going well for them. Then Z asked him a question. He laughs.

"I was a thief for many years. And I suppose I know how to talk to other thieves."

He continues to smile.

*Z briefly glances at Rory.*

"Quiet human, there are more pressing matters at hand now. If he insists upon petty fighting it will be done at a later date."

*Turning back to Zeiss.*

"If you are confidant in salvaging this then, go if not I will."

"RORY! That's enough. I'll take care of my own problems. When and wherever."

*You can tell he appreciates the sentiment, though.*

Snarg rolls over again. "Mmmph, why ain't ya just lettin' 'em finish. What ya thinkin' they gonna be doin' if ya start swimmin' out? That ain't gonna win no favors." he mumbles, yawning between sentences.

To Zeiss:

"Bluff your way on. You seem skilled in the deceptive arts. I doubt either of us are very diplomatic."

"Do I hear scheming over there" Sethos shouts towards Z and Zeiss "Because in my experience scheming tends to end in trouble".

*Walks over to Rory.*

"Listen, i appreciate it, but this will only get worse if you get involved. I don't care what he says, but if it comes down to it, i'll have to settle it on my own."

"Bluff my way aboard the ship...? From here? Yeah, that's a really good idea. I should just shout a lie from here and rainbows will fall on us. Happy ending."

He pauses, then takes a bite of his chocolate while looking at the ship.

"If we disturb the negotiations, it would be worse for us. So no, we stay here and hope Tabran doesn't kill us with his principles."

"I ain't gonna stand by and watch you get clobbered, even if you do bring it on yourself. We're the only humans on this damn continent, and you seem like a decent guy." A wrinkle or two manages to spread across his forehead as he raises his brow. "That makes us brothers. Remember that."

To Zeiss:

"It seems to be going well now... whatever he did he fixed it."

*Z grumbles something under their breath that you don't catch*

Rory takes another swing from the bottle of bourbon. He looks at Zeiss, thinking, then decides to leave it. He walks over to Fierneceal.
"So, ah, your brother...he all right, then?"
