Aaaaand, it's been so long that i'm actually foggy as to how you sum up a skill. Do i just put these two together or is it a point for each two above ten, like with the stats?

And I don't understand K's question. You just add your skill level to your roll, that's all.

As Zeiss said add your skill bonus to the roll. That's the result of your skill check.

This is exactly as embarrassing as it seems (hey, it's been a while since i did this). Skill check is 33.

Rory exchanges a few words with some of the people packing and already living out of the fleet on his way to the Hub, where he finds a chair and a desk to write a letter addressed to Larenz'Filis. In it, he pays some lip service, and outlines his two conditions for transport: the first destination will be the port in Osteth previously used for the transportation of humans and former citizens of Stonehold, and that an alternate port in Osteth might be more reasonable if she has one in mind; and that she offer opportunities for employment to ex Stoneholders wishing to migrate to Sho.

The plan is to use the return address of the Hub(assuming the Hub in Shoushi or Hebian-To, whichever is closest to said address). If they can't or don't hold letters, he'll put down a return address for a courier to hold it in the hub city.

In either case, he will use the hub to check for mail between 3-4pm, hopefully getting a reply within the next two days. He ends the letter with,
"I await your swift and sage reply,
[Signature]"

Diplomacy: first destination is an Osteth port.

Wisdom. I never bothered with the skill since so many other people had high training in it. To be honest I don't even remember if its a class skill for me anyway.

Javan's ordeal is mostly over, will be interrupting the battle for another tidbit in a little bit as I try to figure out exactly how this plays out.

Would burning an AP help at all? If so I'll do that.

I don't see any mention of me in Zeiss' big plan. Do I not get to be there? Cause I was planning personal business around my involvement in the fighty-bits I'd come in handy for.

Hmm, rolled a 2 so Wisdom 14. Probably didn't make a difference but at least I can say I tried everything in my power to get a good roll.

Kolson is busy directing the battle (or doing whatever you choose, it's up to you, as long as you're present at the battle) when he glances at one of the display plates that is tied in to several nearby Yellow Mages who are periodically casting Scan into a device. Kolson of course by now is aware that this jury rig system gives a crude yet helpful live map of the battlefield, lasting until the Yellow Mages run out of Mana to cast. Each cast of Scan updates the map. He's also aware that the Separatists have gone out of their way to avoid airship support since the first bombardment, and as such it strikes him as quite odd when a small Corvette rather rapidly enters the battlefield on the eastern edge, heading in a general direction towards the front line. Kolson is not the only person to notice this of course, but something about the ship's trajectory just ticks at the back of Kolson's mind, and a few updates of the map later he realizes it' the ship is racing in to approach near the battle but not at it. It also seems to be moving in an arc that will take it away from the battle fairly quickly.

Kolson has several troops nearby, including himself (the spot in question is somewhat close to the frontline command center) and a group that includes Higaide. He also has rolled well enough to realize that that airship is probably important enough to divert something for... though what, exactly, is up to him.

Higaide and Zeiss do not roll well enough to spot the Airship incoming.

Yes, I think Kolson would be helping direct the battle.

In response to this development I'll call Higaide over and say, "A Corvette-class airship just entered the battlefield and I want to check it out. Its acting weird and I have a bad feeling about it." Kolson explains what he saw on the sensor. "Are you down for a little recon?"

Whether or not Higaide is in or not, I'll let the people who should know know what I'm doing and then gather up some troops to check it out. If I can do so without leaving the area too undefended I'll take a 2 squads with me. If that's too much, a single squad will be fine. If I can, I'll also gather the other members of the party too. I have a feeling we'll need them.

You know what, whatever. I'm participating with the Exhcange forces as a subcommander, there.

Kolson can get a single squad that isn't currently tied up in combat with him, if he still wants to head for it.

Higaide will very easily get there before anyone else. Will Higaide be focusing more on speed or on stealth?
