So it didn't even occur to me to do this in any other format than 'regular' until Rory popped into the other thread so, question for the three of you, which format would you prefer? Weekly, daily, hourly, regular, something else?

Well, I thought that the whole reason we were doing the weekly format was to catch up with the live campaign and it would return to regular once that's done.

With that in mind, if I'm being asked to vote, then let it be for regular. Not only it makes for better reading, but you can also slow down and speed-up time as needed for things to work, specially when waiting is a thing (as in traveling, appointments, etc).

Done deal. Does anyone have anything to do on the long trip south, or would you prefer to pick things up in the future (technically) when you arrive in the Hebian-To Province?

Aside from the usual 'making sure we are not followed' and 'paying attention to surroundings' and 'avoiding conflict areas as much as possible', I can't think of anything else right now.

What long trip? We're using the hub. It's Zeiss' invading bloc spies who will have to take the long way, I think.

And the White Scarves, which Javan will probably avoid getting separated from considering what happened last time.

Hubs aren't just scattered all over the place like in FFXII. Only major cities have them, making for yet a considerable trip, if i'm not mistaken.

Other than my prep for the journey?

I'm going to remove the Peerless charm for the trip, allowing Thog more awake time. He'll read the books I got and begin practicing how to Weave. He'll spend time getting to know K and Javan during the night while they're on watch with him.

He'll catch an animal for his meals every night and learn to prepare and cook from Rory's memory, and whoever's on watch with him can have some.

He will brainstorm his staggering intellect for a plan for when we reach our destination, because he knows Rory is completely lost. He will draw on information in Rory's subconscious - facts, persons of interest, our tools, anything.

I guess this might stem from me choosing not to notice the regular joe I attacked was unconscious. So we're going back in time and changing that. Because as a player, I believe I have that power when new information about how the game is played is made known to me.

I second that. I had no idea that was a thing.

Higaide is gonna have a talk with Rory about punching civilians after this, though.

I dunno, you did decide to ignore checking on someone's reaction to punches and just let Rory go so um... that's basically saying 'I am killing the guy but the character meant it as subdual AKA I'm aiming for accidental killing'. That has nothing to do with rules, so it's hard for me to say 'sure, you didn't know about it'.

Sorry, if I had got into the same situation and made that mess, I would take it and make it part of my character's RP. That said, it's up for the GM.

It's really not the same as saying that, Javan.

Whatever, the rule is kind of beside this. I figured that there would at least be a difference I might notice between "ah, good, he's unconscious" and "oops I killed him?"

And i did set up reactionary to restrain him if he went overboard. I mean sure, i didn't foresee Rory going Hulk Smash on the guy, but i'd think punching a man that hard would qualify.

First punch, and Higaide would be on him. Yet my character just stood there watching like a moron, for some reason.

You know, ignoring intents, mechanics and all that stuff, this should make you guys remember Javan, Rory and Higaide now live on a world of cardboard because of their high-levels.

I'll let Supes explain it:

Hm. I'll allow Rory to make a Will save to see if he stops after that first punch (which did 12 damage) to stop the second punch (which did 9), which would mean he's just had his jaw broken instead of killed. I'll let you do the roll, if you prefer.

I request to be able to make a Reflex save to stop him from throwing the second punch if his Will fails him.

If i must make my case, i had set up the reactionary, i'm probably within 5 feet of him, which makes it an AoO, and it's his second punch, after Higaide saw what the first looked like. I also have the daily AP to burn, plus Charges (Ammo: 38).

Let me know if an AP would help. I don't think I spent any uh, "today" in the campaign.

I think I'll roll less damage dice in future cases similar to this.

After considerable thought on the matter, since this obviously matters to Rory (the player), I'll just go ahead and retcon to make it work out differently.

Usually when you succeed at Intimidation, the person you are intimidating becomes temporarily disposed towards whatever you wanted them to say or do, not just scared. If I have succeeded so well, why is he not answering my question?
