Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
"Welcome to the Black Post"
The skyline was colored orange as the lights from the smoldering blocks of the residential district of the Black Post lit up the dark sky. The recent terrorist attack on the block had residents of the district fleeing for their lives and in to the safety of the Black Army of Ofidia. The officials of the post quickly stood up to address the terrified "citizens" and announce their plan of action.
"We believe that a group of terrorists were aiding him," a black-scaled priest of Ofidia shouted to a crowd gathered in the forum. "Our troops have already mobilized and are searching for the scum as we speak! Any information that leads to their death will bring a reward of 50 gold pieces to you and your household! Ten times the reward if you personally bring us the head of any confessed terrorist!"
An example of a bent, cheap-looking bracer was presented for the crowd to observe by the cleric. "You will know them by their pathetic mockery of our loyalty to the Lady! This one was found on a street nearby the rubble. We will be conducting daily searches of residences and shops to root out these terrorists. Check everyone - even family! Your loyalty transcends all earthly bonds! Hail Ofidia!"
Many in the crowd cheered and saluted the priest, all proclaiming their loyalty to the Black Dragon. Pleased with his rally, the priest waved to the crowd and stepped down off the platform. He strode purposefully over to the side where a green Kobold, another black-scaled human, and multitudes of guards were waiting.
"Now, on to business," he nodded at the Kobold, "we have reason to believe they are still hiding somewhere within the residential district. I believe your special skills are needed to ensure that we bring them out as quickly as possible. I do not believe they will try to leave this place; they must have some agenda here - something they want."
The Kobold picked at his nails as he listened to the priest. "Eh, I suppose," he shrugged, "I'm just happy to get away from those gates for a while; dead-boring business there now. No one's trying anything now that we've got 'em scared."
"Be careful," the priest warned, "I have a feeling this group is dangerous. If they're capable of this, there's no telling what you'll be up against if you find them."
Nodding at the priest, the Kobold signaled a nearby guard with one clawed finger. "I'll just have to be extra careful then. SOLDIER!" he barked at the advancing guard, "get my special unit and tell them to meet me at the north entrance. Don't worry, High Priest, we'll have them sniffed out and on display by morning!"
-----------------------------------------------
This map of the city was on the table in the hideout. Not all of the "blocks" are pure buildings, especially the market, but it will give you a general idea of where things are located. You also know the city well enough to recall this from memory at this detail without rolling:
This is your progress from the explosion area to the hideout:

Took a photo of this after I rolled them. I'll let you guess what they're for.

Re: Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
Got the post-session info up. Generally it'll be something like this; a "results and preamble" that will let you know what's happening due to the session events and a preview of stuff that may be yet-to-come.
If anyone has any questions, feedback, complaints, chocolate - anything about the session, let me know. Thanks again for playing and I hope that everyone has been having fun so far!

I love your original post. I've never seen anyone do a post game wrap up like that before.

Okay, unless we have any knowledge about previous rebellions, know the usual reaction etc, this is going to encourage metagaming as all hell.
But I would like to know where you got that picture, or if it was drawn up just for this.

Hopefully the die rolls were not the necromancer's death saves...

Nah, I ain't worried 'bout no metagaming. It's supposed to be a preview of what's happening as a result of the session and what'll be going down next anyway. To answer the question about the picture, kind of both. I took a few images and did some Photoshop stuff (layer breakdown):
I won't say they are for the necro, I won't say they aren't, but there were a few things happening at the end of last session that depended on dice rolls. One thing's for sure: it's pretty difficult to survive a sneak attack to the neck while already almost dead; one might say it's deadly no matter what.

Love the shop slideshow. It looks like it's doing a montage of "peaceful day" to "FIREBALL".

Re: Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
Ah, I almost forgot! If everyone who wants one could provide a portrait of their character (could just be a random image from anywhere on the 'net), I will use it for next game on the game table. Otherwise it'll just be a generic pog with your name on it. I already have at least one from the character approval thread.

Re: Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
It can be anything really, although if it looks good in a pog format that's a positive. Elbren's looks good, and something like this would work just fine as well. Size doesn't really matter as long as it's not something weird like a 25x5000. In that case you are playing a long snake.

Eh just use that picture of Mengsk. It's the best one of him I've found without ripping my own from video files.

Here's Deke: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8xeHL4cTBgvRlVLV1ctUEhmSk0/edit?usp=drive_web
I signed up at EVE Online and downloaded the free trial just to do that. I was looking up custom Shadowrun character portraits, and someone recommended the EVE char customization in a forum thread. I know he's wearing a tank top. I know it doesn't fit. Just pretend its a traveler's outfit jacket.
I never think of bards as having a serious demeanor. Also, sorry if the LA Noire style in my questioning in the last session bugged you guys. I was just feeling the beat. Playing that game changes you.
There's the game that makes you, and the game that breaks you...

Please see the first post for new information, including a map of the city and your current location.
Thanks for posting up pictures of your characters. I'll make sure to use them on Tuesday.

Re: Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
I'd recommend popping a wheelie, doing some donuts in the yard, etc.
Seriously though, I'm not sure if anyone is running anything on Monday.

Re: Post-session #1: "Welcome to the Black Post"
Cool. Your sis and I made characters for it already so you guys just need to choose one. I'll post them up in an OOC thread. If you wouldn't mind Arch, could I get a partition for Toon?
