Just throwing it out there that if we catch some clone troopers in our sights and have reason enough to engage, Omi might get a little Jack Bauer-ish for a bit.

Well, maybe i should elaborate. He will not reveal his existence to the empire, on the off-chance they might think he's already dead. He's got a family to think about somewhere on the outer rim, and he won't risk the empire going after them. But if forced to confront them, he's got this urge to capture one, grab him by his throat and go "WHY DID YOU DO IT!!!!".

Y'know, cause they did that thing where they exterminated his order and all his friends, noncombatants, children, etc.

That would make for a powerful scene. Just don't be surprised if you don't like the answers.

I can kinda guess at the answers, actually. My character might get genuinely shocked, though. And the worse part is, i can't think of a real good excuse not to execute the trooper afterwards, if the answers are what i think they might be (and that's taking anger out of the equation and just using cold logic). So i'm half hoping it happens, half hoping it won't.

Actually I intend to find Ominae a new master to teach him. There have to be remaining Jedi masters in seclusion or hiding among Rebel factions. Unless you'd be okay with learning a different tradition, K, that's what I'll be doing. I'll also be cautioning against the influence of criminals like Dake Sken!

That's very thoughtful you of you, but gameplay-wise, it would probably mean i'd have to break from the party. Besides, Luke did it just fine on his own, aside from a couple days with Ob1 and maybe a week with Yoda. Barring the GM saying otherwise, i think i can make my way learning by doing.

That said, i always did want to meet Quinlan Vos.

*Harley enters the room, "dressed" as a jedi master and wearing a huge 70's wig over his antenna head, and wielding 4 toy lightsabers, and it seems Glitch was forced to do the same*

Harley: "Start your training, we now do."

Or he could, I dunno, travel with us and train. Or we could travel with him wherever he goes and just become part of the rebellion while initially intending to have Ominae trained. The only possible splitting would hinge upon Dake's thoughts regarding joining the rebellion, and hating the Galactic Empire and being partial to aiding the fight against them are two PC requirements, so the possibility isn't even valid.

Rocks fall. Harley becomes scrap. A nearby NPC comments, "what model of droid was that?" Vahrran replies, "I wouldn't know, I've never seen it before in my life."

You'll have some time yet before you need to make that kind of choice. I wanted to keep things focused on your guys before I introduce any major NPCs. You know, let you find your feet as it were.

(Suspenseful stream)

**Order 66

--A wounded padawan Ominae stumbles through private investigator Vahrran's door, "My master is dead...my friends..."

--Harley: ///Logic would dictate proper inquiry in future scenarios similar to present occurrence, master. Observation of padawan's current state suggests reckless activity.///

--Later, Ominae lies in bed awake, recovering: "They called it Order 66. They branded us traitors to the Empire."

--Order 66: Ominae's master's death after successful attempt to buy his apprentice time.

--"The Chancellor reveals himself as a usurping dictator and ruthless tyrant," Vahrran replies. "Your master was a peerless man of virtue, I will see that you are protected from the Jedi extermination."

(End suspense, normal cantina music)
--Ship owner, and elusive smuggler Dake Sken laughs over a bottle of whiskey in a cantina at Vahrran's attempt to strike a deal with the scoundrel.
"You find yourself in need of a ship? Join the club," he chuckles morosely, pouring a glass for the former police agent, who ignores the offer.

--Dake: "Help me get my ship back, and I'll help you get offworld."
Vahrran: "Very well."

(End cantina music)
--Vahrran starts a few engines in a dark parking lot before being forced to sneak off.

(Sting note concurrent with severing of limbs, lightsaber)
--Later on, the others have a shootout with the local thugs. Ominae uses his lightsaber, critically wounding and killing two thugs.

**Exchange between the smuggler and the detective

--Harley hacks into the security system, downloading all incriminating evidence and footage while erasing any indicated involvement of the padawan and clear visible indication of the others.

--The group finds and "rescues" Yshroon as Dake frees the captives, and departs from the warehouse.

**Smuggler vs detective: Dake rolls his eyes and shrugs as private investigator Vahrran summarizes, "Any capacity in which I aid you serves only to get the young padawan and myself offworld. Once I fulfill that, I will then deal with you, if I can."

I did not leave the prisoners in the cell. I would go out of my way to free them.

I wouldn't exactly call it scarring, and for the sake of keeping the summary consolidated, I'm leaving that out for after we touch on it during in-game downtime, if at all.

You missed quite the session. The guys ended up doing some pretty crazy stuff in an air speeder and 2 swoop bikes. I'll let them tell the story.

COSRUSCANT NEWS SPECIAL

Planetside fangirls squealed today, during a high-speed chase between the Gundark gang (notorious for their sturdy ears) and the intrepid criminal mastermind Dake Sken, when hard-boiled investigator Vahrran was suddenly forced to take over control of his airspeeder as then-pilot Ominae - 14-year old survivor of Order 66 and wanted by the state for the crime of existing, in a moment of pure uncut badassery, leapt from his seat, ran across said airspeeder - traveling at 400km/h, several hundred meters* from the ground,  and jumped into a flying kick onto the pilot of one of the pursuing speeder bikes, taking control of the vehicle, then dodging the ensuing burst of cannon fire from the adjoining gang member, just before slamming the brakes on his speeder and drawing his lightsaber in time to hack off the front portion of the pursuing bike as it flew right by, clearing his friends of any immediate pursuit as the confrontation drew to a close.

Passerby onlookers report seeing the boy flipping off notorious Emo Jedi Whiner turned Dark Lord of the Sith Anakin Skywalker during the maneuver, while GM Kolson was quoted saying "I'm proud of you".

On a side note, this session was really fun. I got to show my awesome pilot skills . And now, Dake is going to make sure he gets the young Ominae on his crew, during which he will help him make some money and learn the tricks on how to live as a fugitive.

But we have to attack a smugglers' base first.

I gotta warn you, Zeiss, abuse of the Force can lead to "the worst of imaginable consequences" (Obi-Wan), which is why it isn't normally used for criminal purposes or self-gain.

If Ominae were to join your career path, he'd likely either start losing his connection to the Force or start racking up darkside points like popcorn. He'll explain this to you in character if need be.
