Damn it Randall, stop being an idiot. While he'd destroy me in two seconds flat I'd love to punch that guy right now and give him a piece of my mind. Doesn't matter? Just another politician? What a crock of shit. And he probably wonders from atop his high horse why people throw up their hands and say "What can we do about it?" as the world burns around them. And what can they do when their HEROES DO NOTHING? Ugh.

Prove him wrong guys. Show him it does matter.

Should we discuss what to do on Day 17? We've got the Blackbrine sticking around to hear our offer and the job we want done. Radnaal is not helping us. The Mites are currently still negotiating with Zeiss on Day 16. Kolson and Javan have fighters, maybe we could get them to help. Zeiss wrote to Gretta in Ritholme for fighters. I think we should get runners to flag them down with letters asking them to return to Holtburg to provide aid in a "dire situation with nation-wide ramifications".

I only know that Kolson went to meet Gretta, which is why I also wrote a letter for him in case my messenger meets him. If they don't pass by each other, we don't know where Kolson and Javan are.

I tried to keep Zeiss apprised of my progress and travels but the breakdown of communications led to my current efforts. Gretta should be able to give some idea of where I am but I don't think I'm in a position to render aid.

Kolson and Javan are quite a bit south of Gretta, and of Holtburg in general right now. Though they might swing back up depending on their decisions with what they'll find out 'soon'.

We can wait for them and try to hamper and delay efforts of the parties involved in the coup, which means we'll need to be out gathering information. We can have our token thief go out and gather names and possibly descriptions.

Not all of our guards who go out and drink are coming back drunk, me and each of the sergeants will ask the men if they've seen or heard anything suspicious. Key references would be 'humans', 'the veil', anything pertaining to a large and organized group of thugs, to downright name-dropping the Exchange, or Zeiss, etc. We'll go up to each patrol as opposed to each person.

When he's gathered what he can from a day, and we've finished going through the guard, we'll cross reference both information piles and give our token thief's info priority. At this point, we can simply find a target with what we learned and force the confrontation early, if we're ready. Or, instead, we can go around ourselves and use what we learned find out more info on dead drops, supply lines, etc and screw with them to push the 'big war day' back a few.

Either we force it early, or they bring the fight to us/each other eventually. I'd propose we use that information to delay the confrontation until we're as ready as we're going to be.

Once Javan and I get our questions and roles in the interrogation straight I wouldn't mind hand-waving it for two reasons

1. I find interrogations are often crass and I have no interest in rping that.

2. It will speed it up since everyone is apparently waiting on us.

Normally I'd say no, since I doubt in a week you've mapped that far. But we'll pretend that a week ago you insisted they map in the direction of the Royal District rather than radiating outwards. So yes.

Also... is the deal proposed by the Mites fair? With 30 plats and unlimited access to the Hub, I guess it is, but I just want to be sure my character thinks the same. I have no real sense of the value of money in this setting and now that the economy has been reworked, I'm a little lost.

And is there a limit to the number of people I can give unlimited access to the Hub? There has to be. Can I also choose to revoke someone's access to the Hub?

There's no literal limit but there is an implied limit, IE if you want to open it up for everyone or like a few thousand people then no. But you don't have a limit of, say, 10. As for revoking, any such action would have to be done by the Mites but you could petition for it to happen.

As for the money, to put it into real life terms, one plat is about $10000.

Zeiss, you could create the limit yourself. As in, bargain for an X amount of people that you will specify later on with no expiration date, so you can add people you trust to this list, well, AFTER they gain such trust.

I'd also use this with extreme caution, as there could be patient people attempting joining the Exchange only to gain access to this and misuse it in such a way that the whole list would be revoked.
