2nd adventure: Proxy War

"Oh," says the black mage. He hangs his head in shame. "I didn't think about that."

Fedler sighs, and gently pats Steve on the back. "From what I remember, she's not that close to her father, but you still humiliated him. You should tell her that you're sorry once we're at sea. You can still make it right."

"I'll do that. He was a good man who just wanted his daughter to be happy even if she does ignore him. How could anyone ignore their parents Fedler? Don't they know what they have?"

This seems to sadden Fedler, whose facial features suddenly soften, reminding Steve of the hunter he met outside of Lomner's inn.

"That's a question for the ages, Steve."

She looks at the end of the street, and recognizes the shops that mark the border of the open market.

"Let's go. We have to buy everything we need before the ship leaves."

Fedler waits for him before she starts walking again.

"Okay." He joins her in walking towards the market. "You're hair looks nice long. Not that it isn't nice the other way too."

This appears to catch Fedler off-guard, but she still manages to give a quick answer.

"I just needed to change my look."

She pauses, like if she wasn't sure what else to add to that, then look at Steve, and with a little smirk, she says, "Don't let your hair grow; you would look horrible."

"Ha. I should grow it out for the mission. No one will remember my face; I'll just be the ugly guy with the hair." He puts on his best "ugly" face, exaggerating his mouth size and popping his eyebrows up and down.

Fedler actually chuckles at this strange sight.

"Come on, we tarried long enough."

She finds one leather shop, and enters it.

Also, it's normal if you don't understand what Mihai and Breeze are talking about Rory. Konrad doesn't have the in-charater knowledge about what happened between the three of them.

Captain Hook from the recent live-action Peter Pan film. Less fancy, more of a practical style, all dull and not made of any shiny materials, and no frills. No hook, either. But the pants are leather. No wig.

To hide my scars
I will be buying what's basically a commoner's turtleneck to wear underneath it. On top of that, a bandana that I can wrap all around my face(but leave a slit for the eyes), and tie tight to keep it secure.

Hat
But the hat will be different, it will instead be an admiral's tri-corner hat, and it will be just as fancy as the rest of the outfit would be if I hadn't dumbed it down.

Piercings
I will also suffer through getting my ear pierced for a small gauge earring, and an hoop earring that hangs from that.
And my left eyebrow pierced for both a stud and a ring.
And my lip pierced for a stud ring.
And my nose pierced for a (gulp) septum ring.
^^With bandana facewrap, I won't be needing the stuff that won't be anywhere near the eyes. Nos pierceing stays because I will allow a slit for my nostrils, and the septum ring may be hanging visibly.
This is mainly to complete the image of a pirate who's had enough success to splurge on enhancing his personal image, but not too much. If it helps, they're all brass, which is a non-ferrous metal alloy. Brass will turn brown over time. I've done a little research

Face paint
Lastly, heavy mascara applied underneath my eyes, and especially above and around my scarred right eye to conceal the presence of scarring on my face. Actual mascara. Yes, I've done more research.

Now, how much of this is too much for reimbursement from the Coins?

I'm done with my forgery work, so I check about that job one of my contacts said might have for me, because I am interested in making some more cash.

Also, won't any pirate worth his salt take one look at out hides and immediately tell we haven't spent one day at sea?

To Rory; man, I was searching everywhere in that Pan movie from last year, and I was like, "that's it?" Good thing you specified it was the 2003 movie. That outfit looks much cooler.

Also, the piercings, and especially the hat, will cost you more than what the Coins are willing to reimburse; more specifically, 9 gp.
