Re: Treasure and Loot
I was going to make a claim for the Pearless charm, arguing that I could do a lot more for the Exchange in one day, but I agree that Rory should take it. I don't even think we should roll for it.
The robe of ninja: do they give + 1 DEX or do they limit it?
What is Deathblow?
What's the dot these hookblades are leaving? What do they look like? What are they for?
Now, I'll take the dark amber ring because no one else will take it. Unless someone objects?
And am I even trained for hookblades as a rogue?

That's the original Final Fantasy 7 effect. Blessing and a curse. If it's basically the same, I'm not sure I want it. How does Deathblow function in this setting? And what does the number mean?

Okay, I looked at the d20 website for the hookblade proficiency. Didn't find it. Did some googling and found out that it's an exotic weapon. But I'm not sure... -_-
We need Arch's help.
EDIT : there, voted anyway.

Rory is right, and I've asked Arch already about it. Roll higher (not higher or equal) than 16 and it's double damage. Roll a critical and it doubles the critical damage (which already might have a x3 multiplier, which is insane).

Anyway, I voted Need on that materia. I have to make as much damage as I can to kill my opponents before they kill me. If I learn that I can use the hookblades (who else than me would have voted for that anyway?), then I could do a LOT of damage. I have sneak attacks too.

A "crit'ed death blow sneak attack" made with hookblades that can deal double damage under certain conditions.

I meant higher (not higher and equal). That means 17, 18 and 19 are a deathblow. Anything else misses.

Not the greatest odds if there's nothing to mitigate it, for sure.

Re: Treasure and Loot
Speaking of odds, deathblow 16 has a 15% chance of hitting ANYTHING at double damage including criticals. If we are expecting to fight someone with astronomically high AC like Gwydo, it might be worth having someone with the deathblow materia equipped, so I vote someone that can deal lots of damage to keep it, just not slot it until we need it.
Oh, but not Javan tho, his jump rolls are against touch AC and there's no reason not to just jump most of the time now.

Re: Treasure and Loot
Whelp, no matter what, I'd encourage people to go with what they think seems neat and interesting to use. I think a lot of the effect materia would be fun just because you could describe the effect. 20% to do double damage is no slouch either. That's improved critical on several types of steroids.

The robe grants 1 DEX.
What is Deathblow?
Already basically discussed by other players.
What's the dot these hookblades are leaving? What do they look like? What are they for?
Variable dot based on situation. They look like http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9iMIweN5ntc/SfCS4PomlsI/AAAAAAAAAaw/QyJMB3SlcoE/s1600/Uruk-Hai%2BSword%2B800x600.jpg. They are for hurting people.
And am I even trained for hookblades as a rogue?
Yes. Anyone who can use martial weapons can use one.

I imagine the reduced sleep requirement is the same as it was for being a Salarian, aka hp recovery still requires a full rest?

Re: Treasure and Loot
I might borrow that from you occasionally, Rory. Imagine how much Weaving Kolson could get done if he didn't have to sleep as much!
Also don't forget to mark down that you have the Kolson's Amulet of Mighty Fists (+2 damage) that I made for you. Never know when you might want to change them out.
