Fourth Adventure 05: Saboteurs

"Understood. Adjunct 113 out."

Zeiss put away the piece of copper back in his pocket.

"Now... what do we do."

He began to think.

"Maybe ya be gettin' 'em unda some guard, yep? That's bein' a good beginnin'. STILL need to be gettin' people an' poison from the graveyard."

"well what ever we do be carefull that one is a high level mage and will have all kinds of tricks"

"Z, you have any idea where we should be looking? Or even what we should be looking for?"

He was curious to see what he/she thought.

Z still hasn't stopped frowning. "If there's another layer to this we've either missed something or haven't been looking in the right places. I say we look more into that little miner's ring, and check the city."

"thats right the Sclavi was hiding out in the thorp before he came here, also?"

tab fishes out a cloth map and starts looking at it

Snarg taps the cloth map in an area of the Sho Empire. "I'm bettin' that's what ya be lookin' fer. Big ol' farmin' city that Sho's ownin'."

Zeiss approached the Burun. He signed the others to step away from the prisoners. He faced the Burun.

"What do you have in you? It's not quite like materia."

The Burun smiles, amused at the Elf. "I have something you don't have... a sense of destiny."

"Do you know when and how you are gonna die?"

"There is no such thing as destiny," Rory retorted. "Life is cruel, brutish and short. Just look around you. I see no proof of 'destiny'."

"Destiny is doing something about life, rather then letting it do to you."

"what are we going to do about the GY team?"

"Do you know about an Orc that made a deal with some miners? Selling to the Undermarket?"

"I know plenty of Orcs, though a proper Sho wouldn't deal with the Undermarket."

"I do not think we can get anything else from him. We should all go to the graveyard join the others. We'll discuss what to do there."

tab make's sure the Burun is well and truly gagged

tab also binds the Sclavi at the hands and elbows behind his back and gaggs him. and makes sure his fingers are bound too

"as for transport i say the Sclavi is lead behind a horse and the Burun is put in the wagon"

As the group approaches the graveyard they become aware of the fact that their three comrades are all leaning against a tree, tied up together and unconscious. There is no sign of the poisoned food, alchemy equipment, or poison.

Zeiss went to help his colleagues and untie them.

Spoiler:

Rory stands there, flabbergasted. "Why are they all tied up? Where's the stuff you said was here?"

"hummm kolson wasnt there meant to be you know a large pile of poisoned food here?"

"There was. Fortunately I still have my sample. I'm curious what our friends can tell us."

He joins Zeiss in freeing them, assuming they aren't trapped.

The group does not appear to be trapped as you untie them and attempt to wake them. They appear to be in a magically induced state of sleep.
