Fourth Adventure 08: Beginning of the End

"Z? Why Colier? There is nothing there. Wouldn't it make more sense to try and hide out in a more populated area like Holtburg?"
"Besides, it would be easier to make a fast getaway, if it come down to it."

Zeiss turns to Tabran.

"The Water Temple is in Naverre land. You want to stay in a country that is going to war while we have the option to leave?"

Gwydo's comment catches his attention.

"I agree. I prefer Hotburg, it is familiar."

"Gwydo why do you thing we need to hide out anywere

Zeiss it isnt just one nation thats going to be in this war its brewing for all on them"

Z laughs faintly. "You've never been to Colier have you? They're nice there, the Drudges are good people. They'd never sell us out, the idea wouldn't even occur to them, and they're tolerant and helpful. It's a nice place to be, the only catch is it's still fairly isolated; we'd be going by foot from Zaikhal."

"I understandin' the water temple's holdin' a special place fer ya, Tabran, but ain't ya thinkin' travelin' 'cross a desert where ya bein' wanted an' durin' a war ain't a good idea?"

Zeiss answers to Tabran.

"And that is why it is better we get behind the borders of the most powerful nation on Dereth."

"Tabran, I'm not saying we need to hide out currently. But if the situation with the fort changes drastically, as we suspect it might, we may want the option."

"That said, Z, if you think the Drudges are more trustworthy than the city, it might be worth looking into."

"to be quite honest im hoping that we wont make it to the water temple because that will mean that Gremlock will have been out of contact for over a week and thats not good news"

Hanuel toyed with their food, listening in to the conversation. When Arwic is mentioned, Hanuel mutters something under their breath.

*While the discussion goes on, he furtively scans the room, looking for anyone that might look to be trying to eavesdrop.*

"Colier's bein' a good place to be hidin', but we're havin' problems gettin' there ... 'less ya got a plan, Z. I'm thinkin' we're wantin' to be goin' north from what everyone's sayin'."

Zeiss answers to Tabran.

"Maybe. But it doesn't change the fact that it is better for us to leave Naverre land. Especially after the result of our mission."

"im fine with north, i just think that when we hit Al-Jalima we hub to Zaikhal then head to the water temple then back to Zaikhal before going to Glenden wood's it will be good to double back on ourselves to as if someone is following its it will really stand out.

and Zeiss that mission was going to go down that way no matter what happened the only difference now is that the Naverre military know what's going on"

"I'm with Arwic as well. We might get some answers there." Ashakel joined the conversation while enjoying his delicious meal. He couldn't remember when was the last time he ate so well.

"Yes, it is a really good idea. Especially since I am thrilled to go to the Water Temple. I suppose we'll have to to put that to a vote."

Zeiss stops to talk and tries to calm himself. Then Ashakel talks about going to Arwick.

"I don't know what kind of answers you expect to find there."

He continues to eat and let the others talk.

"If I may? I think," Fierneceal says between dainty bites, "that from what I'm gathering, Holtburg would be the wisest decision for everyone here. Not only is it heavily populated thus providing better cover, but it seems as though familiarity would be beneficial. I have a contact there as well." As she finishes saying her piece, Fierneceal looks down at her food blushing, feeling a bit foolish for interrupting a conversation she really has no right to be in.

"Eh, maybe seein' what's bein' happenin' 'round Zaikhal once we're gettin' to Glenden Wood. Ain't bein' good to be zappin' in to waitin' arms. Still gotta be comin' up wit' a plan fer gettin' to ya temple from Zaikhal - maybe ya be thinkin' 'bout that when we're travelin'."

Hanuel smiles comfortingly towards Fierneceal before speaking up. "I myself wouldn't be... thrilled... with returning to Arwic so soon."

Zeiss listens to Fiernaceal's opinion. He whispers :

"Finally, some sense..."

This discussion as to where they should go that would be safest confused Rory. He was foreign, and there was more than one good answer. More than he could handle at the moment. "Wherever we go, it'd better be safe," he said, leaning back in resignation.

Fierneceal looks to Rory with sympathy in her eyes and a slight frown on her face. "Rory, I'm as new here as you are; possibly moreso, considering I haven't been here but a day or two of the few days we've been off the island. You're not alone."

"How ya havin' a contact in Holtburg if ya ain't been 'ere?" Snarg asks, cocking his head sideways in curiosity.

"zeiss you seam to before getting the power that whoever is behind this has they were able to incapacitate 3 of our team and remove all the evidence there were there even taking it from use with out our know the only think that seamed to have stoped whatever it was that did it was the Bag of holding, then 1 Guy leveled a military base that was on high alert."

"She was advised to me by someone I spoke with. Well... I haven't actually met the woman I set out to meet, only one of her associates, but it worked out... I'm not sure how it's worked out so far actually, considering I'm here and I really shouldn't be."
