Fifth Adventure 03: The Long Night

Fierneceal sighs and shakes her head sadly. "Patience is a virtue too few possess in matters such as this."

She looks over to Hanuel and Dara and speaks quickly and plainly, "Hanuel, please send Dara in first. I have experience with such matters, and she will be unharmed if you unsummon her quickly if she's in distress. WE cannot chance another life."

"what the hell. ok i say we leave his ass were ever it landed him"

Hanuel looks back at Fierneceal. "I know that." Without Hanuel looking away, Dara reaches out and touches the wall.

"Of course. It was asinine of me to presume, my sincerest apologies."

Dara vanishes from Hanuel's mind within seconds, all contact severed.

Hanuel spins sharply, their body tensing as they stare at the wall, and attempt to un-summon and re-summon Dara.

Dara re-appears, looking very confused.

"Well... I suppose it is a one-way travel. Rory would have come back if he could."

"so what did she hum he it see?"

Fierneceal looks at Hanuel and Dara with concern.

"What happened in there. Are you all right?"

Hanuel lets out a loud sigh of relief, shaking lightly for a moment before steeling themselves.

"Whatever happened in there, no time passed for Dara between touching the wall and being re-summoned. I don't think this portal works for aspects."

tab take his rope off his back and looks for somewhere to tye it off

"What if it be killin' 'em? Ain't that doin' that too?" Snarg suggests as he glances at the portal apprehensively.

"If Dara had been injured by it, I would know. They've suffered no ill effects so far."

Zeiss looks at Z.

"Nothing to tell us about it I suppose?"

"At any rate, I don't think it's gonna hurt us. I should head through. Kez is in danger, and Rory might be as well."

"It's a portal." Z responds, and then walks up to and vanishes into it.

Tab tryes the silk rope to the biggest grave stone he can bind then feeds in into the portal

"Tch." Hanuel follows Z. "No time like the present, and we're running out of time."

"Well, it ain't gettin' no safer in 'ere. All in 'er at once?" He watches Z disappeared in to the portal. "... guess not. Let's be going', now!" Snarg raises his sword in a defensive posture and steps in to the portal.

Fierneceal sighs, shaking slightly. She visibly steels herself before stepping forward. "Looks like there's an epidemic. Come save us, guys." She, too, touches the portal.

"It's a portal." Z responds, and then walks up to and vanishes into it.

"If there's a meat grinder on the other side, i'm gonna laugh at you so hard. Still, we should really hurry on."

Zeiss groans a little then runs to the entrance of the catacombs. He looks into the wagon, takes a block of chocolate from his fridge and a concoction, then brings his horse down to the portal. He hesitates before it.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Kolson touches the portal. When prompted to choose an element, he chooses his own, darkness.
