Fifth Adventure 03.2: The Path of Darkness

Rory:
The boy looks somewhat intangible, like he is but isn't there, but otherwise is dressed in completely normal farmer's clothes and looks like an ordinary Elf boy. Z has moved in behind you, also curious about the source of the sound.

"... ... It's a good thing I kept the orb." Fierneceal walks over to the marble rune and places the orb inside, surreptitiously ignoring the crying elven boy for now.

"It's just an illusion," Rory says. He lays a hand on the boy's head to see if he is truly intangible, and if so, walks right through him--and if not, he edges around him--toward the barn.

Spoiler:

Rory: Your hand lands on a fairly solid feeling head, with hair and everything.

Fier:
The orb slips into it easily and you hear a thrumming sound

Fierneceal looks around to see if anything's changed.

Z frowns and, cautiously, reaches out to grab the boy's hand. He clings to Z suddenly, as if afraid and seeking aid, and Z awkwardly pats the boy's head and leads him back towards the barn, where he suddenly vanishes.

Rory continues around the boy, who apparently doesn't notice him, and into the barn. "Excuse me, little boy?" he calls out, panning his view of the barn. He begins searching the barn for anything, attached or unattached, that might be hidden. "Are you lost, like us?"

"That's strange. I wonder why he disappeared?" Kolson enters the barn and helps Rory look around.

Tabran:
The ground appears to be made of solid Water Affinity. So does everything else nearby.

Kolson & Rory:
The wind that had been slowly, creepily howling through the area has stopped, and it feels much warmer then it did before.

Fier:
There is nothing else you can see from this room that has changed, as you cannot see back through the door you entered from.

Fierneceal heads to the barn with the others, hoping to spot a glimpse of something, anything, that would be useful on moving them along. "Wait... where's the boy? Wasn't he just with you, Z?"

"well that kind of fits in with that i was thinking"

"Guy!"

Z nods. "I was leading him out of the room, but I thought to bring him to the barn first. He vanished."

"Doesn't matter, the boy wasn't real," Rory said. He leaves the barn and begins to look for an exit other than the way they came.

"It feels warmer now. You guys hear that?" Everyone stops and listens but doesn't hear anything. "The wind stopped just now."

The slow sensation of being sucked out of the room grows steadily as you examine the area. The ground itself is shaking, and begins disintegrating under you, and you catch glimpses of green hills and terrain amidst the pitch-black before there is a loud crack and your group is now back in the central 'room' in the night sky. The moon is now half full, the West door is not there anymore, and the East door is open.

It seems as though Fierneceal will never stop sighing. She looks at her small group and takes off toward the East door, this time determined to be the first through.

"Guy have you ever seen a rat in a maze?"

Rory takes off toward the east door, running through.

"That was a most strange experience. I wonder if that meant anything?" Kolson walks over to the East door and enters.

"Yes Tabran, and the smart ones usually get the crackers."

Tab take the bow of his back and shots an arrow at the wall beside the door tab then heads over to it and wrights a note on it but it pass thou the wall.
