Nooooooo! The cold is preventing Javan from moving the Primus storyline forward! *fights off the cold with boxing gloves, one germ at a time*
There, done. Now, let's see if I can rent Mad Max movies on Youtube...

The cold isn't helping, but most times I miss stuff, the forum show as if there's nothing new. So, thanks for the warning.

Sorry. I played a lot of Grand Theft Auto 5 lately. The commercials on the radio are pretty much the same: straightforward and stupid.

Ah. That makes sense. I've always loved the radio stations in those types of games.

Sorry for the double post but here's an article our resident Star Trek fans might enjoy.

Re: OOC Discussion
Quick question, I'm still not done with my Inquisition playthrough(got sidetracked with a game or another, rebuilding my modded installs and so forth), but I also started a game with a woman Inquisitor and got her to about where I am now in my first game. Point is, I didn't really remember what the romance options were for the ladies, and with that in mind, was anyone else a little let down when they realized/remembered they couldn't start a romance with Cole, or knew that and then met Cole?
- whoops, spoilers:
- 'Cause spirit or not, he was definitely her type.

Re: OOC Discussion
I just watched this movie called Maggie.
It's a zombie movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. No, really.
The plot is, his daughter (Abigail Breslin) has just got infected after running away from home, and she has about 6 weeks left to live before she's forced to go into Quarantine and die there. Arnold manages to take her back home on a favor, and the movie is pretty much this slow burn as her condition keeps deteriorating. It's pretty much played as a straight up terminal illness drama, with a smidge of horror mixed in.
People act with their eyes a lot in this movie, quite a bit more than with their mouths, and the color palette used is quite low on the saturation. Also, the low budget means practical effects all around, but they're really well done.
Nearly every character is sympathetic, even the ones in an antagonistic role, and the ones that aren't are still understandable. I'm a big fan of understated acting, and this movie has it in spades, from the struggle of the main characters to the family doctor discussing Arnold's options, to the police officer who knows he will one day soon have to come over and tear a sick girl from her father, and is none too pleased at the notion.
Definitely not for everyone, but i found it to be a total gem.

Re: OOC Discussion
K, I totally agree. Maggie is not your usual "Zombie flick" or "Walking Dead" knock off.
To over simplify the plot, if you were to basically, replace "cancer" or "alzheimers" or "the black plague" with "zombie virus" you'll have a pretty good idea of what the drama of the movie is about. It is beautifully written and wonderfully acted. Definitely not something if you're in the mood for action, comedy, or romance.

I personally can't get over the fact that, apparently, this might be one of the better movies Schwarzenegger is in from an acting POV.

Who the hell cares about double posts! I just found out this is a thing that exists and then I bought...

Not only is made by my brazillian comrades at Behold Studio (they made Knights of Pen & Paper) but also features much of the stuff I love about the Sentai genre.

Re: OOC Discussion
Well, I'm having buckets of fun with my own sentai squad. In fact, as I write this, it's the season finale and the squad, Bucket Rangers, finally got their hands in their own giant mecha, Great Mopper. Can hardly wait to make use of it.
Yeah, I'm silly with names like that. Anyways, up to now the game have broken whatever walls are in the way of fun. I find this utterly charming.
So yeah, up to this point, I'm glad I've spent my money in this game.

Re: OOC Discussion
Oh, I'd like to point out that if you play Chroma Squad only thinking about gameplay, you might be left disappointed.
It's not bad actually, but it doesn't try to be a deeper experience than it needs to be. That said, considering it's a story about stunt actors going indie and making their own sentai show for their love of the genre makes it much more appealing than it would be if it was a straight sentai game.
I mean, one of the early missions has one of the members leave during the shooting early because of an dentist appointment, so they end up making things up as they go so they can finish the episode in time. Then, out of nowhere, some guy barges into the set out of nowhere and decides to help your team, even transforming into his own Metal Hero form, his lines making it almost feel like a self-insert fanfic of some kind.
That's the kind of stuff you should expect from this game if you ever buy it. K, that was my fair warning.

Re: OOC Discussion
That sounds amazing, Essoje.
On another note I'll be out of town all weekend attending a wedding. I'd greatly appreciate it if one you would take Kolson's turns for me. I really don't want to hold up the game.

Sure, I'll make Kolson my slave and scrape my floor clean.
In all seriousness, I'll write some actions for him: mostly managing the Exchange and talking to some family nobles. Nothing out of character.

I'm surprised they're this organized. I'm surprised that the DoD would declassify this, this is basically an open door to anyone in the world now who has a mind to join these assholes. It couldn't have been as available as it is now compared to before.

Re: OOC Discussion
People have been joining them for quite some time now. Namely, 1st world middle-class 14 year olds who have some kind of romantic notion of fighting a holy war. Some of them come back pregnant, go figure. If they come back at all.

I don't see the big deal Rory. It reads like someone took a pre-existing template and just doctored it up to meet their standards. I bet they mocked it up and got it approved over the course of an afternoon.
The one thing I'm trying to wrap my head around is the idea that Al Qaeda has a Human Resources department for this shit. I mean how does that even work? Can you pass all the physical and mental tests but still fail to get hired if you blow the first or second interviews?

Yup, the Navy Seals that killed Osama bin Laden took it off his desk before they left.
