Fourth Adventure 05: Saboteurs

After a good two hours wait, those at the mine spot an unusual group approaching. It consists of the other members of the 113th, and they have a currently unconscious Burun draped and tied up over one of their horses, and he seems to be missing a limb.

It is currently 10 AM, February 6th.

*Moves to meet them.*

Tab move out of hideing to meet the rest of the party (still in fox form)

"I see you brought guests? But what happened to snargs and this guys arm? Is it a new fashion that's catching on in there's parts?"

Tab looks over the team
"And were is Java and kez?"

*Catches sight of Snarg's arm. Or lack thereof.*



"...!"

"Bein' this rock kisser's work." Snarg jerks his thumb towards the Burun, "Got 'em poisonin' folks in the graveyard."

"ok but why dont ever of you have arm's???"

"He burnt 'er off wit' some sorta acid 'er somethin'," Snarg clutches his stub tightly and grimaces, "he be losin' his gettin' a 'bit testy wit' Snarg."

"He's in condition to talk, though?"

"Ya, he ain't be sayin' much, though. He's thinkin' he gonna be gettin' some help since he's claimin' ta be Sho. Ain't gonna be helpin' him wit' what he's been doin'."

"Is he the Argbadh Hozjk'loran?"

"Ain't no help comin'," Rory said, loud enough for the Burun to hear him. "We've got the Sclavi we've been looking for."

"Arghbah ... arg..." Snarg pauses a moment, "Argbadh hurqrt- ya, that's who he's claimin' bein'."

"what do you mean burned off did he use magic if so make sure to bind his fingers too"

"He ain't makin' no wiggles." Snarg points to the crushed portion of the Burun's remaining arm. "Nah, he be usin' some sorta green gunk inna vial. Burns whateva it be touchin' to nothin'."

"what did he do dunk your arm in it?"

"Curse this Burun! Playing with poisons, the coward." Ashakel was appalled to see Snarg without his arm.

"Nah, just bein' a few drops. He's claimin' ta be inventin' some new gunk fer the Fort. Did ya Sclavi ya say ya got be talkin' 'bout a Burun?"

"do any of you have any of this stuff i can have a look at?"

"He mentioned a Burun name, i think."

"Ya, he's got it." Snarg points to Kolson, "We gotta be goin' back and cleanin' up. Alchemy lab's sittin' if ya wantin' to be lookin' at teh gunk."

"ye ied like that, what about this guy he's stable right? and what of Han, Kez and javan they ok?"

"The Sclavi only gave us a name, but yeah, he reports to him and admits to being clumsy," Rory added. "Probably wasn't even a soldier or an agent of any kind."

"So," Rory said to the Burun, "this is what your mighty empire has you doing, Froggy? Murdering a bunch innocent defenseless people? Oh wait, let me rephrase that: employing an amateur to murder a bunch of innocent defenseless people.

"How noble of you, and professional, though in addition, you seem to have missed your target--the fort's that way, you bastard," Rory sneered, standing before the Burun and gloating.

"No matter, you still failed. I imagine the war will start in earnest before the Sho even know what happened to you," Rory continued. "They'll abandon you to your execution, and you'll have accomplished nothing by squandering the element of surprise you take for granted now."

Zeiss sighed at Rory's speech.

"If you want to feel better, just punch him. Don't waste your time talking to a fanatic..."
