Fifth Adventure 02: The Long Day

"Yeah, conjured matter doesn't stick around. My umbrella can only make it rain for about 5 minutes and the water it drops only lasts a short time after that. Here, when we get outside I'll let you fire it at something."

He pulls his magic umbrella out of Kez's Bag of Holding and let's Tab hold on to it for now.

Presently, Rory decided to take the chance to return Kolson's hat.

"Kolson, you can have your hat back," he said holding it out, not bothering to move an inch from his spot near the door. "It's a nice hat, don't get me wrong. It's just not my style, is all."

"That's fine. But I already Wove another as you can see. Why don't you give it to one of the others instead?"

"Anyone want it?"

"I'm good. Thanks."

*Kezrin looks at the hat longingly, but doesnt say anything.*

The Lieutenant returns, looking far more proper in his full regalia uniform. You notice he is wearing the formal Naverre uniform with plenty of medals and insignia upon it. "After you," he gestures cordially.

After a few seconds of silence, Rory sighs exasperatedly. "If you want the hat, speak now, or I'm stashing it away."

Kolson tips his hat at the LT. "Thanks for the help."

He heads towards the mine with the others.

"Yes sir."

Zeiss goes towards the hallway where he last saw the Troll woman.

Snarg follows the group in the back.

Snarg grabs the hat from Rory as he passes him and places it on his head. "Snarg hat."

The group marches along towards the Platinum mines. The Lieutenant is keeping proper professional demeanor, almost a parade march, as he travels. When you approach the entrance a single guard glances at the group, but his eyes lock onto the Lieutenant and he shoots a crisp salute, which the Lieutenant returns promptly as the group continues unabated. As you go you realize just how many troops are guarding this place, all Naverre career soldiers, which is somewhat disturbing. Finally Zeiss points out the hallway in question, to which the Lieutenant grabs his lance and stretches a bit, readying himself for whatever might come next.

*kezrin looks at the pretty red hat on snargs head and sighs*

"Should we draw our weapons or act naturally?"

"Okay, everyone check that hallway while the mages verify for any trace of magic used lately. We do not need to draw our weapons. We have the Lieutenant with us."

The Lieutenant gives Kolson a bit of a look, Lance in hand.

Snarg begins going up and down the hallway.

tab first dose a spellcraft check on the hallway than if that shows up nothing will cast scan level 2 on the hallway

"Oh, what's that, Tab?" Kolson keeps an eye on the tunnel behind them.

Rory prowls every inch of the hallway, looking for traps or any secrets it may hold.

*Proceeds to check out the hallway.*

After some searching you realize that a portion of the nearby wall is in fact something of a hidden trap wall. There are a few tracks that lead nearby and stop suddenly, and from what you can tell the 'door' itself requires a specific activation without brute-forcing it.

Hanuel lifts a mask to their face, looking through the eye piece. "Here, let me see what I can find out." Hanuel uses the mask to cast Scan 2 on the hidden door.

"Track leadin' 'ere," Snarg follows an invisible trail in the floor with his finger, "an' stoppin' 'ere!" he points at a section of the well. "Looks like we're findin' ya hiddin' door."
