Fifth Adventure 03: The Long Night

Fierneceal turns toward the group at large and whispers, "I, for one, would like to know why he chose to steal Kezin only to give us a ridiculous ultimatum and still give her back in one piece."

Zeiss simply stays immobile and stares at the thing that stands before them.

Snarg turns half-way to the group, still keeping one eye on the nightmare. "I ain't thinkin' we gonna be gettin' too far askin' crazies why they bein' crazies." he whispers back.

"there is the question of why the trial that i would like to ask it"

The Nightmare stares back emotionlessly. "I only said you could save your comrade. She is required by the Pinnacle and will not be released, but by my word she will live. I serve the Pinnacle. And we seek to return the world to its natural state of discord."

Without any further elaboration or preamble, the Nightmare turns and leaves, through the exit with great haste.
