Snarg:
There are no animal tracks within several hundred feet of the building. You surmise that the building itself has some sort of light warding to keep beasts away, to help preserve the honored dead.
There is a massive mixture of all 8 Elements here, as the essence from the bodies continues to drain back into the Ley Lines, as most large graves do. It can be unsettling to be near or in one, but not dangerous that you know of.
Hanuel inches their way in, finding nothing out of the ordinary. As they enter several magical torches light nearby, helping one to see much easier. They light by proximity, and stay lit for a few minutes after to help visitors and mourners.
The whistle echoes through the halls and rooms, but you hear no response.

Snarg lights up a torch and clamps it in his mouth. He follows shortly behind those entering the catacombs first.
- Spoiler:
- Continuing to track the creature, listening for the whistle, listening for it, and also taking care to feel for vibrations underfoot. Survival +13, awareness +9.
Also: are there space to climb on the walls or is it pretty much on foot from here?

The catacomb seems quiet and undisturbed for as far in as you have gone. The walls are smoothed marble, very unlikely for one to get a grip upon.

Rory lights his lantern inside the catacombs at the three way split. "We can't split up," he said. "We need to stick together in case we encounter that--thing."

"Keep goin', I ain't seein' no sign of 'er yet." Snarg says quietly, inching up to the hallways.
- Spoiler:
- Tracking: is there a particular hallway that I can see she's been taken down or where there's been movement from the Nightmare?

Re: Fifth Adventure 03: The Long Night
Zeiss:
From your understanding the two side passages would primarily be for mass graves, people who's names were lost in battle, and would be vastly larger and far reaching. The central passage would be smaller, for those who's names were discovered or known, as well as their specific deeds.
Snarg:
You check the floor very carefully. You are aware of just how quiet the nightmare moved despite its size, and gather that it is unlikely it would leave indents or imprints, but you check for displaced dust or residue and manage to find a few faint wisps where the dust was moved aside by something moving very fast. These 'tracks', if you can call them that, lead north towards the central passage.

Snarg studies the floor carefully. He snorts and looks up, pointing towards the central passage. "Thata way. That's where it's been goin'."

Hanuel and Dara take up opposite sides of the central hall, crossbows pointed forwards. "No point in dallying."

"The Central passage?"
Zeiss looks unsure.
"There will be less space there than the rooms on the side. Be prepared for that."

"No blood?"

"Maybe it means she didn't have any more blood to lose."

"We already have the torches of this place and my own ring. Wait until the fight starts to use that spell of yours. Unless it goes really far."
