First Adventure 04: The Centaur Lord of Maraudine

Player Round 1 Results:
In a rush several players take immediate action, seizing the surprise of the moment. Several party members move into defensive and preparatory formations, readying themselves for inevitable counter-attack.
Permeus makes several quick motions and casts a Yellow spell in the direction of one of the Centaurs, but it fails to take effect. He and Higaide then rush forward in the direction of the Centaurs' leader.
Hanuel eyes one of the Centaurs by the ravine carefully then looses an arrow, which narrowly hits that given Centaur but manages to bring it to the ground with an ear-splitting cry of pain.
Amidst the commotion, Rellan hurriedly reaches into his bad and produces some blue powder and quickly inhales it.
Zeiss quickly checks the surrounding area for any traps or whatnot, and finds nothing obvious in the immediate vicinity.
Araiguna eyes the leader of the Centaurs, takes in a steady breath amidst the chaos and eyes the creature, adjusts his aim... again... and again, then abruptly looses it. The arrow flies out at the wrong angle, but a sudden gust of wind brushes it just enough back on course, and it nails the Centaur leader straight in the arm carrying his Longbow, which he promptly drops, and howls in utter rage, growing noticeably more menacing in the process.

Enemy Round 1 Results:

One of the hidden Centaurs (2) prepares to loose an arrow in your direction when Whis and Rory charge him full tilt, Rory loosing a horrifying roar right before Whis's scimitar came slicing down along the Centaur's body, felling the creature with another strangled cry.
The other hidden Centaurs both quickly draw and shoot at those nearest them. Ashakel gets hit by the arrow directly in the shoulder, injured in the process (take 8 damage).
Most of the other Centaurs draw their bows and seem prepped to pepper anyone who comes close with arrow fire.
At about this time Kolson finishes his preperations and looses a torrent of violent electricity at the Centaurs near the ravine. All the Centaurs save the boss look fairly injured.
The Centaur Boss roars in utter defiance, and begins stomping his feet on the ground. Some horrible, unnatural elemental energy begins thundering all around you, and you suddenly feel like a massive solid surface has smashed all of you in the face. Whis Kor, Higaide, Araiguna, Hanuel, Dara, and Ashakel manage to shake off its effects, but everyone else falls to the ground, stunned. (lose next turn)

Whis Kor draws his bloodied blade from the slain Centaur and spins around towards the next Centaur in one move. He staggers backward for a second as the elemental energy strikes him in the face but seems to recover the next moment.

He takes the charging stance again and begins sprinting towards the next Centaur in line.

Rory reeled at the blow he felt on his face. He didn't need Zeiss or Whis Kor to keep his rage an option. He had been debating the idea of taking the leader hostage, but wherever providence chose to direct this fight, he wanted him dead--preferably after they knocked his ass out.

"Ugh," groans Kolson from the ground. Not a good spot to be in.

Ashkael screams as the the arrow penatrates his shoulder, letting out a terrible shriek! Furious, he runs faster towards the Centaur who attacked him, ready to strike a blow!

Hanuel winces from the elemental blow, but doesn't succumb, and focuses their own elemental powers."Slip through space! Dara!" Dara takes form infront of Hanuel, already aiming and loosing a crossbow bolt at a centaur, before taking up a position between Sethos and Caladrius.

Araiguna seeing Ashakel in horrible pain tries to ease some of the suffering by casting regen on him, all the while keeping a very close watch on the lead centaur

*Higaide brushes off the attack and charges at the Centaur leader. He's almost in range.*

Ashakel, enraged, charges the hidden Centaur and swings but in his blind fury he misses.
Araiguna's Regen lands upon Ashakel, and he feels some of his wounds and pain start to ebb away (gain 3 HP back this round).
Dara moves into position at Hanuel's command and looses an arrow, but with the uncertain winds it misses its mark.
Higaide reaches the boss, ready to unleash his fists upon the creature.
Whis Kor, all business, charges the hidden Centaur and impales him upon his scimitar. The creature gurgles out some invective in Undercommon before falling to its knees.

The last remaining hidden Centaur, glaring down at Ashakel, looses a bolt right into his other shoulder, prompting another howl of pain. (take 5 damage)
All three Centaurs by the ravine loose arrows at Higaide, but fortunately only one of them connects, jabbing him in the side (take 6 damage).
The Centaur boss roars again, once again stamping his feet and a horrible tingling sensation along your skin and hair before a jolt of lightning erupts from the ground, arcing between several of you and sending painful jolts through your entire bodies. (Rellan, Gwydo, Kolson, Hanuel, Sethos, Dara, Permeus, and Caladrius all take 5 damage.)

Gwydo staggers to his feet, shaking off the effects of the centaur's attack. Gripping his sword and shield he advances toward to the leader of the centaurs and once again takes up a defensive posture.

seeing that Ashekel is having a very tough time with Hidden Centaur 3 Araiguna draws his bow and fires an arrow at the centaur that was bearing down on his comrade.
"Goodnight" he whispers to himself as he lets loos an arrow.

The troll fall to the ground, with another arrow in his body... His consciousness flickers, but the last energy of the Mite's heal gets to him, and he manages to stand up, once again pointing to the centaur. "Now you die!"

"Grit yer teeth!" Hanuel grows, before simultaneously aiming and firing at the Boss Centaur along with Dara. Dara then lends a hand to Sethos, and Hanuel lends a hand to Gwydo while sheathing the spent crossbow.

Whis Kor draws his blade from the impaled Centaur and spins around.

"HIGAIDE, DEFEND YOURSELF," he shouts, "YOU HAVE NO ONE BESIDE YOU! EVERYONE, ON YOUR FEET AND FLANK THEM!"

He adopts the charging stance for the third time and then launches himself towards the closest Centaur archer by the ravine.

*seeing Higaide charge the boss centaur Tabran dosnt even try to stand but cast Protect on Higaide to at lest support him until help can join the battle*

Zeiss wanted to flank the centaurs near the ravine. He went in this direction.

Rolling over onto his hands and knees, Kolson begins chanting a healing spell, healing Ashakel, Hanuel, Sethos, Permeus, and himself. He then crawls to M11.

After reeling from the pain, Rory rises to his feet, running first toward Whis Kor, then, seeing an opportunity, following Zeiss. Prepping his lungs and his rage, he readies another roar of bloodlust.

Permeus and Sethos both cast upon Higaide, fearful for their comrade's life. (Higaide gains Regen next ground, and +1 AC for 1 round).
Araiguna launches an arrow at the annoying Centaur who just won't die, but misses horribly, narrowly avoiding hitting Ashakel.
Dara and Hanuel help Sethos and Gwydo up, Hanuel eyeballing one of the Centaurs by the ravine just in case.
Several of the party members move into position towards the ravine and the boss.
Hanuel and Dara both attack in unison at the boss, both arrows landing true and hurting the Centaur.
Kolson casts a spread Cure spell upon his nearby allies, healing them all. (2 HP healed)
Higaide focuses all his concentration into one move, then slams his fist into the Centaur boss, who easily blocks it. Higaide, heeding the advice of his Sclavi friend, takes a step back.
Ashakel's Regen wears off, healing him once more.
Ashakel, full of the vengeance of the ages, strikes down upon the Centaur and somehow, miraculously, lands his blow, slicing the Centaur clear in half.

Edit: Whis Kor makes a final charge attack upon the Centaur near the ravine's edge. It seems to brace itself, but the Sclavi cleaves it in two... and goes right through it, falling to his face on the staircase. Fortunately it's not a long fall, but he is now prone.

Two of the Centaurs near the ravine draw and attack the prone Sclavi, though only one hits (3 damage), while the remaining minion attacks Higaide but fails to hit him.
The Boss, growing increasingly impatient, stomps over to Higaide, grabs him roughly, and hurls him towards the ravine. Higaide tries desperately to stop his tumble, succeeding only after he's gone over the edge, barely clinging to the rockface as the river roars a hundred feet beneath him.

Getting up, Kolson moves to engage the lead centaur.

After finally killing his opponent, Ashakel turns to take a look at his allies. "Hold on, I'm coming!"
