Javan felt his stomach's contents swirl for a moment when when his eyes caught the sight of the rune, and then stayed silent for a moment. Not because there was nothing to be said, but because the fairy wasn't still completely over what happened in the cave today.

Being able to examine the rune closely for the first time, you are able to determine several things. First, the obvious; it was specifically designed to control a very specific type of creature, no doubt the type you encountered earlier. It is both crafted physically and Woven, forming the intricate runes that cover its surface. It is radiating a general malevolence that anybody present can feel. And after very careful examination you determine one unusual feature about its creation; it was built somewhere very close to the Spacial Ley Line.

Satisfied that they had gotten through the day without anything going wrong--save for being frightened of entering a cave when everyone else had no trouble entering, Rory headed to the inn, rented a room and tended to his wounds therein.

After 12 minutes of solid searching and checking you finally find the culprit. A single gold coin, totally unremarkable from the others except that it has some type of magic Woven into it that would allow someone or something to trace its location.

Rory returned to the lobby of the inn just in time to hear Zeiss mention something about people following, and having Tabran "check his share."

"Check what?" he asked. "Who's following us??"

Tabran:
You spend the next 3 hours meticulously counting and checking each coin from the chests, including the one given to the town. In grand total you find 4 coins, counting the one you already found, which are all Woven with the same tracking magic.

"Oh, some tracking spell on the coins we found. Tabran is looking into it. Maybe you can ask one of our colleagues to check on them too?"

"Oh no... Tabran, you have to get out there! For all we know they could be distributing it like candy!" he hissed, storming out of the inn.

He had to find the mayor and tell him to leave the gold inside the chest until Tabran could come check on it.
