Third Adventure 01: The City of Al-Ferin

Zeiss sat down on the floor. He almost got cooked. He needed to breathe a little...

"Why... why am I always the one who has to do that kind of thing..."

"That... was a very powerful fire spell. I wouldn't want any of us to have been in the path of that, and not get away." Hanuel offers Zeiss a hand up.

Zeiss took Hanuel's hand.

"Let's just forget about that door. Unless..."

He thought about something.

"Could we use it againts the golem? Maybe it was placed there for that purpose."

"Right......so....... South door anyone?" Gwydo asks, looking skeptically down the hallway.

"That's what I was sayin', Zeiss." Snarg responds.

"Everyone step away from the door." Hanuel raises their crossbow, and once everyone is clear, fires at the trapped door, and rolls to the side, just in case.

Hanuel shoots a bolt at the door, causing a column of flame to erupt at the door. He just barely manages to roll to the side in time as the column abruptly shifts across the floor to where he was standing and nukes the spot quite succinctly. The entire room smells like charcoal now, and Hanuel's wings are burnt at the edges.

Hanuel hisses in pain lightly, and grabs their wings, trying to sooth the burnt edges. "Well, that at least was a proof of concept..."

"STOP ANTAGONIZING THE DOOR!!" Gwydo's yell reverberating in the room.

Rory couldn't help but revel in satisfaction at the sight of the Fairy wincing in pain. Still, he felt sorry for Hanuel. "Damn magic traps."

"Can we... stop doing that? I don't want to end like some roasted chicken."

Snarg creeps over and glances down the open doorway. "Eh, maybe I'm bein' weird, but we ain't lookin' at 'em right now?" he says, pointing at the glowing water with his arrow.

"I agree. I wanted a proof of concept though. Might be able to use it as an ambush if it comes to it."

"Ha, ha, that was awesome," Kolson high fives Han because Science! "Let's check out the hallway with the glowing water. It looks a little more our speed."

*kezrin walks over to the water attempting to discover why it glows and if its purpose is only to bring light to the hall*

Grabbing Zeiss by the collar, Gwydo strides towards the Southern hallway saying "You're coming with me. Do your trap finding... thing down this way." As he pushes him down the hallway.

Sethos peers into the aqueduct that holds the mysterious glowing water.

Hanuel stands up and moves to the doorway, cocking the spent crossbow, and investigating the water from a distance.

Anyone Checking The Water:
The water itself is plain water that has been imbued with a fairly large amount of magical energy. It is likely this is where their Mages and Weavers stand and channel energy into it to prepare it for eventual assimilation by the Golem Heart.

As Kezrinthka gets close to the water it suddenly lets out a ripple, and from the bend towards the south end of the hallway a small globule of water suddenly rounds the corner and comes bulleting towards the group.

"Water moving towards us... that's bad."

Zeiss got out of the hallway and moved towards the west door. He got his rapier out of its sheath. Just in case.
