Rory dashes forward, thrusting his knife toward the Sclavi's throat--and holds back before the blade gets too close, and teases a neck scale, encouraging it to come off. Soon as he gets a reaction from the Lizard, he eases off. "I SAID ANSWER ME!" he roars.

Zeiss took his rapier and pointed it to Rory's neck. The details of their mission were very specific.

"Let him go or I kill you."

The Sclavi spits in Rory's face. "I have told you your truth, Naverre slime. If you wish to cut my throat, then do so." He stares, unafraid.

Z leaps forward and prepares a spell at Rory, yelling "We're supposed to bring him in alive, remember!"

"Hmm, smells salty." Rory wipes the spit from his face, returns his knife to his sheath, and then throws the hardest punch he can at the side of the Sclavi's snout. He then took a few steps back to give the Lizard some space.

"I'm not scum, or a mass murderer like you," he retorted. "And I'm not Naverre."

He then turned to Z.

"Want to ask him some questions? And maybe call some reinforcements?"

"Sir, we're not helping anyone's enemy. These two are kinda off their hinges, each for their own reasons, but i won't go into that. The short of it is, we're not taking any side in this war. Frell, we don't even want a war."

Z walks calmly up to the Sclavi and looks him straight in the eyes. "Who were you reporting to, what was your mission time-table, and why here?"

The Sclavi glares back. "I follow the Empire of--" he is cut off by a jolt of lightning. "Gah! I followed the Argbadh Hozjk'loran. He said my shipment of explosives would be here, and I was to use it to level Fort Bleached Bones, and I was to do so today. As for why," he spits on Z's face, though the effect is lessened for the coverage, "I have no idea and do not care."

Z turns and calmly walks away. "We need to find his superior, now."

"First rule of threatening someone for information," Rory muttered aside to Zeiss and the figure in black clothing, "is to follow through with your threats.

"And I know that success and further employment means keeping him alive...I'm not a fool," he added, glaring back at the figure in black clothing.

Argbadh refers to the rank within the Sho military roughly equivilent to a commander. Hozjk'loran sounds like a Burun name.
