"He didn't have time to talk, just handed me a note with his inn address. He asked me to meet him there tomorrow along with anyone else who may have contacts.

I'm not sure what he wants but he wouldn't ask if it wasn't important."

"Anyone else? I've only really seen Fedwaith recently, and smart as he is, he isn't always one for small talk."

"No, unfortunately. I've been too worried about attracting unwanted attention and have just been doing my own thing for now.

How about you? Have you found anything out? Anything you'd like to share?"

"Not too much on my end. Just hoping Baigen is still in the city. I'm fairly certain he got the signal from the item Fier had, but we don't know how accurate it is, as to where he knows we are. That, and waiting for this to recharge." Hanuel motions with the Warden Stone to illustrate.

Kolson nods but something is bothering him. He feels like he is overlooking something and when it finally comes to him, he snaps his finger and says,"You know, I just realized you said not all of us are on the wanted posters. What did you mean by that?"

"The only people on the wanted posters are Zeiss, Kezrinthka, Rory, Higaide, you, and me." Hanuel's voice drops to barely a whisper when they say this, just in case.

Kolson does likewise, "Strange. Why only us? What did we do that is so special?"

"I think it may be someone higher up taking pity and trying to limit the number of people on the chopping block, so to speak."

"I suppose. I mean, I can understand a certain person we know being on there, he was our Templar after all. But why R or H or you? You'd never hurt a fly. The other two don't know anything about this continent." He starts running his fingers through his hair while he thinks about it.

"I wonder... maybe it's people who revealed themselves as working for the Order. Or people who stand out for whatever reason."

"Yes, that could be it. I just wish we could get some straight answers. And we still don't know where Kez is." He sits silently for a while. "I'm worried about her, Han. I don't know where she is and even if I did we are wanted and shouldn't be traveling right now. It all makes me so angry."

"I know. I feel powerless every time I think about that... thing... that took her. Whatever it was, I'll make it pay. Not just for her, but for all the people they've made suffer."

Kolson nods. "Yes. We will make it pay."

Fedwaith gathered everyone for a meeting at the Outgoing Journey in his room. Except Higaide and Snarg. He then told everyone what he learned.

Spoiler:

"Snarg and Higaide are not here... We'll have to inform them of this discussion."

He pauses.

"Now, I also have to tell you about something else. There is someone following us, an elf. I was offered a "job" from him even though I am a wanted criminal. I refused. He basically wanted me to travel with the rest of you and carry out their orders secretly. But what is really interesting is why he wanted to recruit me. He said that I was the easiest one to manipulate. Now, it is important, he said "the easiest one", like if he evaluated each one of us. Since Tabran spotted an elf spying on us at Al-Jalima, I think we have been observed by him for a long time. And from the way he talked to me, I guess that he has allies. So here is what I propose : if Baigen cannot help us clear our names, I suggest that we go to Janwall and help this town. It may improve our reputation."

Spoiler:

"We always have the option of using this." Hanuel takes out the mirror key. "It should take us to the mirror tower, and I'm fairly certain that the mirror tower in near Lytlethorpe."

Fedwaith has a skeptic look.

"I admit that I am curious about this thing. But what makes you think that?"

Fierneceal adds, in the midst of the discussion, a revelation that hit her earlier this morning as she was resting. The Sotiris creature they'd encountered a few days earlier, after it'd taken their letters and the boy, said it would return fairly shortly either with responses or news, and said it was there to help them. And yet they had not seen it since.

"The goblin Bemm mentioned a tower that reflected all light in his letter. When I read it I had a vision of the Mirror tower." At Fier's comment, Hanuel sinks into thought for a moment. "Do you think it was stopped somehow? Or that it's unwilling to come to us in such a crowded place?"

Fedwaith reflects on Hanuel's bit of information. He answers to Fierneceal's comment.

"Hanuel has a good point. That scarecrow must not want to be seen in town."

"That does make sense. The military has always taken the security of Holtburg seriously. There is no telling what kind of trouble one may run into if they throw around big magics."

"Then to test that out, we need to discreetly get our group out of town to see if it swings by again."

"Yes, but then we run into the problem of getting them back in. Does anyone know where we can get new passes?

To Zeiss, "Will that elf spy be a problem now that you have rejected his offer?"

the Elf isnt the only one following us there was an orc on my tail so to speck and Z's room was searched.

"Well, those of us not on the list can get in and out rather easily I would think. We might have to use them as liaisons into the city."

Answering to Kolson :

"I don't know."
