February 13th: Bonebreaker and Jailbreak

Bonebreakers gives a laugh, startling you slightly. "Alright, we shake on it then." He reaches out and shakes your hand. "Now, you need to get us contacts, but first I imagine you want you friend out. It just so happens I have some ideas about that. Remmy!" An Elf runs into the room. "Go grab the Military District High Security Prison plans, and step on it." The Elf gives a quick salute and runs back out.

After several minutes of idle discussion pass, the Elf comes back with several large rolled up papers which he lays out on the desk. "Ah, here we go," Bonebreaker rises and spreads them out, considering. "You've got an interesting job ahead of you. Good news... once you're inside the District the soldier patrols are light. Bad news... an Airship is always on patrol in that area and if it spots you that's it, and there's an anti-magic barrier being maintained in the vicinity that you'll probably either want to deal with or work your way around." He examines the map, frowning.

"well that anti-magic dampening field will be a problem but we can work around it but ied like it down, do you know if it can be taken out without setting off alarms?"

"Oh I have no idea honestly. But, if I were to guess?" He strokes his chin. "They use the Military Prison for dangerous folk, but not the kind that need to be kept penned in, if that makes any sense. Security is less then the civilian prison... which is actually run by the Military too but whatever." He gives a light laugh. "So it's probable the alarms are all manual."

The party now faces a choice. Bonebreaker offers to send out info gatherers about Zeiss specifically but this will take time, at least an hour if not more. This may or may not be a risk.

"Bonebreaker do you have anyone that can fetch the others we left at the inn ill send Hinata here with that person as proof that its really us?"

Kolson and the others arrive to help plan things.

tab informs the party of all that has happened

"..Who else is locked up there? We might be able to use them..."

One of the Elves pipes up. "Last we checked, that gentlemen," he points at the un-defended marker, "is a political criminal named Tarvis of Meadowsong, suspected of attempting to sneak into the Royal District recently. And that lovely fellow," he points to the other one, "Is a Centaur who is kept in constant chains until they can decide to execute him or release him to his people. Don't actually know his name, he's never given it, but he's been attacking travelers in the region lately with violent intent."

"dont suppose you have anything else on this Tarvis guy do you?"

They do not know anything else about Tarvis.

"ok well i think we need more info so im willing to risk send out the information gathers, what do you say? "

"I agree. It'll give us time to set up a rough plan as well."

Bonebreaker has been analyzing the map in silence while your party talks amongst themselves about various plans. "You know," he interrupts, his low voice rumbling. "We could make this a lot simpler, I think. We already know they're going to move him, soon... deal like this'll involve a lot of trials. Why not get a forger in there, have someone sneak or lie or bribe a forged transfer paper in? Set it up just how we want it, probably something low key by having him in a covered wagon or cart, not draw any attention so low guards... easy to grab. The hard part would be if the forgery works, and getting it into the system."

"Another idea," one of the Elves piped in, "Is we could lend someone very skilled in sneaking, lying, or both one of our Stealth Rings. It'd be slow going but if they were careful they could maneuver through the whole facility, right up to that lower pit where they'd have to take out the four guards quickly before releasing the prisoner." He scratches his chin. "Probably release the Centaur too, cause a ruckus to cover the escape."

"Not that it wouldn't be a good distraction but I don't trust this centaur to not kill the guards. I'd prefer to keep the bloodshed at 0 if we can."

Sethos gets up from his extremely comfortable chair.

"I do like that elf's plan, I feel if we hijacked the patrolling airship that would probably make things easier, but we don't have the time to learn it's landing patterns, plus I don't know about you guys, but I can't pilot that boat".

He scratches his head "If we need to then we can send out some people to grab info, but the elf's plan will probably still be the best we've got".

"and what if he ends up been in our way as were getting Zeiss out? i dont like the sound of something that could go that wrong."

"I think the forgery is our best bet. We don't have to split up and don't have to deal with the prison or its defenses at all. Just saying."

"we have someone that can lie though there teeth that could use the ring but there not very good at stealth, forgery sounds like a good option.

as for that Airship it can stay in the sky's for years without the need to land once so thats out of the question."

As soon as he entered, Rory sized up the big boss, and raised his brow the training bags nearby. "I think we can take the risk of sending out feelers. Otherwise, this rescue operation is just a stab in the dark. Bonebreaker, can you have them watch out especially for information regarding a forgery? Failing that, a way to draw out guards from the prison, and obtaining a key?"

"Oh no worries, little Human," Bonebreaker consoles you. "We keep up to date on the military paperwork, we could get a forgery going right now if we wanted to, we have some rather skilled experts. As for dragging a guard out?" He considers. "Without simply knocking one out from afar and physically dragging I don't think that's possible, but we could keep that in mind as a back up plan."

Rory's face adopted an indignant, mild scowl, but he dropped the attitude before continuing. "It's probably best left to your good sense. I'm no expert."

He observed the punching bags and the underlings attending them, but kept doing a double take on the Ogre's massive physique. Rory made note of the absence of any weaponry on him.
