Something I realize now: Given the universal conditions for "taking 10" on any skill check, there are quite a few bad results in the Primus campaign that could have been avoided...

If Ominae had been there, Herzul would've been begging for mercy by round 2.

Especially when you are already highly trained in a given skill, like me. Though it is understandable that we haven't used it, since this was our first campaign ever. Being inexperienced and all that.

But which situation were you referring to?

As for me, I have a confession to make. I've finally made the final leap and preordered Dragon Age Inquisition (with the hardcover strategy guide, since the Collector's Edition of the game doesn't interest me, so I decided to improvise one). What I've seen from the game so far really makes me hopeful. I might regret that, so make fun of me if it turns out to be crap.

Screw Mass Effect 4 though.

I take it you don't like trees.

I like trees. Especially since we can get books by making paper out of them. I like pigs too. And cows. And bees.

I prefer physical books too. The love the feel and the smell, and I find it easier to find things. My memory just isn't as good with a pdf or what have you.

Wonder if they could create 3D digital books? You cradle your tablet/ipad and use the touch screen to flip pages instead of scrolling one long, continuous document.

Must be something like that out there already, in this day and age.

Couldn't let this go unshared here. Should help brighten things up a bit, Robin Williams often joked about butt stuff. Stick around for the end, it's worth it.

Whelp, it turns out that Risen 3 is like Risen 2, and its combat system failed hard. 

Bleh, that game looked really lazy.

The moment I saw the marketing screenshots for Risen 3, and all of them had the main character holding a sword in the same pose yet in different situations triggered all kinds of alarms to me. it also reminded me of Gothic, which is another bad sign in my book.

Pretty much what I expected this year. Mostly Pathfinder and FATE Core/Accelerated. Even Numenera had quite a showing.

Time for another. This is three months old! Love it.
