It seems I misunderstood what you meant: you want to hear that lady's answer before you go with me, right? I think I understand now.

Well hell. Would they try to find a place to call 'theirs', or more frighteningly, would they simply keep their current structure, being like the undermarket except you don't have to hide because no one can touch you?

The Order of Summoners.
Also, I'm done being specific with guard training. I'm not helping myself by trying to hammer one thing at a time into them and expecting them to get it in 2-3 days. It basically amounts to flavor, and it doesn't taste how I kept hoping it would.

Re: Welcome back home
So, some of you may know about Will Save World for Gold. It's a comic made by Lonestarnorth and it's awesome. It's based on D&D 4th edition and it's free. Go read it. Recently, the author started a Patreon page and I'm one of the guys who get to have a comic drawn for them. We can have our own character drawn in it along any of the characters created by the author. Here's Zeiss and Ardon raiding a dungeon.
- Awesome comic:

Heh, that was basically you at the beginning of this campaign. Now is that "Will, save world for gold", "Will Save: World for Gold"?

Just a heads up I'm waiting on continuing until the 3 of you verify that you're okay with Zeiss' plan.

Re: Welcome back home
Give Rory an hour, travel the veil, drink potion. Sounds pretty straightforward to me.
Sorry i don't have much in the way of input right now. I'm guessing we should stealth it as much as possible, but i don't know the terrain we'll be handling yet so... yeah. Maybe we should all get a few health potions, though. This seems like it might get rough.

Re: Welcome back home
Zeiss would make 3, but I admit my grammar was not perfect.
The Veil is... well I don't know how to describe it properly, picture a labyrinth of corridors and hallways which are lit just enough so you can see but not much else (with the exception of the major 'rooms' which are much more well kept and well lit), with a few ups and downs through staircases as it winds throughout the terrain of most of the entire city. Lots of places to hide in the shadows, but otherwise no real 'cover' except for the random assorted box or homeless person. Fortunately (?) the refugees in general have not seemed to find their way into the Veil yet so it isn't crammed to the brim with thousands of people seeking a roof.

Re: Welcome back home
Yeah, stealthy approach when we leave the Veil and approach the area where Sareth is held.
EDIT: health potions are too expensive for us. We're pretty much broke as far as adventurers go.

Re: Welcome back home
I think we could turn this whole 'underdark' into living space. Of course that means having some insane amount of repair done, dusting, mold removal, electric(or magical/woven) wiring for light, etc. But how sweet would that be? Holtburg could have a 'Darktown" and we could build it!
Oh, well now. Are those rations are meant to be taken from our inventory, or from some purchase of rations someone made for this little trip?

Ahem, are you sure you want to go straight to stabbing, Zeiss? You are an orator and a very good liar, after all.

Re: Welcome back home
I thought about it. I just didn't find any good lie I could tell someone who is clearly there to guard the Warehouse district against any intrusion from the Veil. And I don't want to give him a chance to sound the alarm.

Re: Welcome back home
It always grinds me to do a preemptive kill on an unsuspecting target, but i don't see much of a way around it.
I suppose the guy could just be there on a picnic or something, but i doubt it.

Re: Welcome back home
I have to admit, it bothers me that I haven't been able to confirm whether this dwarf is an enemy or not. But I'm going to bet that's the case even if I have nothing more than circumstantial evidence.

We ARE in the vicinity of our target, right? Any chance we could maybe slip by it?

Re: Welcome back home
Slip by the man who is guarding the exit we have to take to get to Sareth? I don't think so. The other exists must be covered as well. I think it's was a good idea for us to walk through the Veil; I imagine it would have been harder outside.

Re: Welcome back home
Hmm, did I read correctly? A hidden elf has attacked Advoc? Or did you just write the wrong name Arch? I think it's the latter, but I'm asking just to be sure.

Re: Welcome back home
There was a hidden Elf nobody spotted who had a prepared action in case anyone decided to move against the obvious front Dwarf. So yes I typed that correctly.
