So, decision time, guys.
Since the GM was kind enough to give my char a level in Boba Fett for this round, we got 3 options: North, south or west.
I wouldn't backtrack, since that'd probably be closest to home base, so i think west is out.

Because it can get us out of the warehouse district. I imagine the other exits within the district are covered by more soldiers.

North please. I'd rather not spend more time than necessary running down a cramped corridor with 28 soldiers chasing us. In an atmosphere not exactly providing much incentive to explore due to the urgency of the situation, a forseeable exit in sight/memory is better than 'wonder where this leads'.

@Zeiss - Based on what? If you backtrack the way you came, you'll be leading a detachment of the Alluvian Army that much closer to your doorstep. I have a lot of trouble imagining you'll be able to talk your way out of what just happened if the Exchange gets implicated in the killing of two military personnel. One of which in cold blood, when he was defenseless and on the ground.

I have nothing to base my assumption on. But you don't either. It's basically flipping a coin at this point.
I don't want to get to get back to the Exchange base directly. I want to use another exit which is not in the Warehouse district. And it took us one night to go from the Exchange base to where we are, so I'm not worried about that.

I'm basing mine on the probability that the Military were either guarding that specific place or staging an operation there, vs the likelihood that they would be putting massive manpower into the streets to guard a large area. I'm assuming Holtburg would have a city guard that handles that sort of thing, as opposed to the nation's standing army.
The travel time was from the Exchange base to here, we don't know how much of that time was spent traveling the Veil, and we don't know if any other exit will present itself. Right now we have two options we know are an exit out of these tunnels. We pass them up, and there's no guarantee if or when we'll find another reliable way out, unless you feel like risking running into a dead end somewhere down the line.

As an aside, though if Higaide knows this in character or not is debatable, Aluvia handles their fire and police service directly through the military. This actually came up recently when Javan handed the bandit he captured over to them to be executed or press-ganged.
