Looking among the options, Kort goes up and down the line before finally stooping down in front of the inactive one. "'eya, buddy. Ya doin' okay 'ere? Ya ain't lookin' like ya wantin' to be 'ere." he asks, "Ya lookin' to be gettin' outta 'ere an' gettin' home fer ya?"

Rory heads out of the inn to find Zeiss, and sees him a few feet from the door outside, entering the inn. Rory looks right at him and walks toward him, clearly intent on communication. When he reaches him, he leans in and whispers:

Fedwaith looks at Rory with a stern look on his face. An Eevee is on his shoulder, purring happily. She opens her eyes and looks at the human. Fedwaith takes the gold and say :

"Sure. Come with me."

He goes to the innkeeper and takes care of the payment for Rory.

The Ogre running the place gives a brief nod, clearly rather busy, and it's only a few minutes wait before a still-sizzling platter of fillets is on your table, with freshly squeezed lemonade and a slice of mint chocolate as an after meal treat added.

The Charmander in question looks up at you curiously. It gives a few low sounds, like 'charrr charrrrr', and one of the attendants comes over. "Ah yes, that's an older fellow, lived with a Sclavi couple which for..." the Elf stutters. "Well for obvious reasons had to leave, and they couldn't afford to bring him with them so..." they trail off. "It's name is Zipar, if you'd like to adopt him."

As soon as the payment is taken care of, Rory heads up to his room and...drinks before getting an early night.

Question about the Bank:
Even if you hire transport it will take you several hours to reach the Low Commons District. You do find several Healers throughout (the District is rather large), and one of them, a Mite White Mage named Smoir is an amiable sort and willing to help you stay though his house is rather small, built for a Mite.
There is only one Bank in all of Holtburg, though it has 3 outlets across the city, the Holtburg Hoard. They offer to keep any items safe within your personal vault for a relatively small fee.

"Older fella, eh?" Kort chuckles, "well, we could be usin' a voice o' experience where we're comin' from. If ya wantin' to be gettin' ya hands dirty o' bit an' havin' a good time, I'm givin' ya a chance! One inna lifetime chance!" he says, reaching his hand out to the Charmander.

Closing his eyes, Farwikt places one of the fillet's in his mouth and slowly bites down, savoring the melody of flavors. He then washed it down with the lemonade. It's good to be home.

After 20 more minutes of delectable fishy goodness, he makes his way down to the inn, checking in for 2 days. He walks up to his room and lays down on his bed to think about his next move.

Zipar appears quite happy to see you. With a few more low grunts of 'char, charrr!' he bounds up and almost knocks you over in a pseudo tackle head butt hug. You are informed by the Elf that he is only 3g to take home, and that Charmanders are omnivores so getting food for them isn't an issue. Zipar himself appears to be fairly calm for the most part, his current actions notwithstanding, and very protective.

*Mardant walks around the docks observing. He takes his time, eventually coming across the pet shop and spotting a familiar looking Gnoll leaving with a Charmander walking along beside him. He walks inside and begins looking around*

The Innkeep, a rough looking Orc, glances at Fierneceal for a moment before muttering, "15 gold per room per night. Best hurry too, I'll be sold out in another few hours."

The pet shop is gargantuan, without actually having a ceiling and wide and open sections for the creatures to roam and play freely. It is filled with activity and exhuberance. Without real warning you hear someone yelp, startled, as they fail to get ahold of a strange, cat-like creature that is hovering around playfully. "Mew! Get back here!" The creature hovers over and behind your head, giving quiet, cute little 'mews' like a baby kitten.

"I'll take the most secluded room if there is such a thing. I'm afraid my companion doesn't much like crowds, and prefers to be away from other people as much as possible. Other than yours truly of course." Hanuel takes out some gold and lays 20 pieces on the table, 15 for the room and 5 as a tip.

The Orc laughs a bit. "Best I can do is top floor, far east wing. Just take the stairs all the way up," he indicates, and you remember this was a 4 story Inn, "and take a left. Room 118."

Mew bounces around in the air at your scritches, nuzzling up against your hand and giving tiny, soft coos. The poor Elf woman who was chasing her rushes up to you. "Sorry sir, she's been a bit rambunctious. She's only 3 weeks old now, just born, not often that Mews have children at all. But this one has been just one big bundle of energy the whole time. We think she's of full Light Affinity."

*Suddenly the tiny Mew snuggles up against Mardant's crossed arms rubbing its head under his hand. Mardant lets out a soft chuckle at its antics and resumes scratching it behind the ear.*

"It seems she's taken a liking to me. What is her name?"
