February 18th:

"Oh, really?" Snarg squints, faces the panel, and presses his fingers against his temples. "Tell me what's wrooong," he mutters, opening a single eye to look at the panel expectantly. After a moment, he drops his hands and stares at the panel. "Can't hurt I guess. Now, as far as weaving goes, we've got a couple of people I know who could," he looks around at the currently assembled members, a bit of worry creeping over his face, "people who aren't here. Oops."

Hanuel comes over and Fierneceal tries as best she can to describe the results from the readout to Han, who makes a very strange face at the terms they don't understand. But after several minutes the two figure out exactly where the issue is at least, which is all the way down at the base floor, near the lower right wing.

Then, immediately afterwards, to assist Rory in his problems Hanuel concentrates on the massive magical flow moving through the room and, after a few minutes observing, announces, "I'd say we have about a day."

Rory, having been tensed this whole time, breathes a sigh of relief, glad to know that whatever eminent explosion he dreaded was more distant than he thought. "We should be cautious and try to get this taken care of before nightfall. Any one of us could turn, there seems to be no way of knowing."

"Well, can we fix it?" Snarg looks over scaffolding to the bottom of the room. "It's just going to be simple to fix, right?" He looks up at Hanuel and Fierneceal. "This will fix that and Araiguna's problem ... right?"

Zeiss looks at the airship. He does not understand why it must be talked to to function. Something to do with Fierneceal and her powers. Which was strange.

"...So we need weavers. In less than a day."

Spoiler:

From what you and others can tell the energy drain appears to be coming from the ground floor, about 400 feet down. There are staircases nearby leading down, as well as a strange hovering platform that jerks periodically.

The Airship, for anyone gifted in engineering (Gwydo), looks absolutely nothing like the designs you've seen before. You can only guess at its workings from the outside.

"We should find a way down there and estimate the damages..."

Z is clinging harder to his cloak.

"...Will you be alright?"

Crouching down on all fours, Snarg wiggles a moment and then jumps on to the hovering platform, hugging it with all limbs as he lands.

Rory goes to the stairs to descend them, holding fast to the wall if there is no guard rail present, moaning anxiety barely above a whisper lest anyone should hear him.

"Oooohhh god..." he groans quietly, trying to do his best to keep from being mesmerized by the height.

"We're going down right... down is good...*she takes a deep breath* down...."

*She looks over at the stairs careful not to look at the open air around her.*

"Okay then, let's go."

Him and Z towards the stairs, planning to find this "leak". And after making sure Snarg was okay.

"Just... watch where you walk."

*Z reaches out a hand and grabs Zeiss again walking very slowly and looking extremely hard at her feet but NOT at the abyss*

Snarg:
The platform wobbles precariously and actually drops about a foot, but then quickly adapts to your weight and lowers itself slowly and smoothly to the base floor. Fierneceal and Hanuel, you've noticed, have joined you.

Anyone Taking The Stairs:
Be with you in like an hour.

Breathingly heavily on the platform, Snarg stares straight ahead, wide-eyed as the platform descends. As soon as it reaches the base floor, he rolls off sideways on to the ground and hugs it. After the brief reunion, he springs up and begins looking around the area.

Spoiler:

"Oh, give me a break!" Rory pines as the platform begins to lower Snarg, Hanuel and Fierneceal at a steady, comfortable pace toward the ground.

Rory spits on his hands and rubs them against his clothing to encourage friction. Making note of the lack of comfortable room on the platform, he puts his back against the wall adjacent to the stairs, preparing to make a jump with as much running speed as he can get at 5 feet. As the platform approaches, he dashes one or two steps across the short space on the stairway and leaps for the platform, intending to grab on by his hands.

Rory:
You slam into the platform full on, sending it tilting to one side about 3 inches before it forcefully rights itself. You start tumbling and falling over the edge, having hit it basically right at your chest (knocking the wind out of you) when your hands manage to grab the edge and get a good grip on it. A few seconds pass, but your hands do not slip further, and the platform is now adjusted to your additional weight.

Rory reeled at the loss of breath, doing his best not to look at the ground. A curious glance takes him--as it is wont to do--and he does his best to hide his abject terror at the prospect of nearly dying for a gamble.

When the group finally reaches the bottom, anybody with knowledge of magic can begin 'tracking' the source of the leak to its source, which will take some time given the size of the Airship and the distance necessary to traverse. However, after considerable time and effort, the central junction that connects the front cone to the two lower wings, right towards the base, there is a rather massive hole that was clearly beaten inwards, from an external source, with the metal deformed as if by a blunt object. If one is to peer inwards, you can see that there's a short path of destruction leading up before rounding a corner.

"Ooo, oooohhh. I bet that's it all right." Snarg shines the torch down the hole. "Well, I suppose we'll find out about it down this way." He pokes around the entrance of the hole before beginning to head through it.

Spoiler:

Feeling exhilarated and free of the panic he felt earlier, and satisfied that he got to ground level sooner than he would have otherwise, Rory gives a cheeky wave to the people coming down the stairs.

Whoa, why don't we just seal it up?" he asked. "We can't just let it keep leaking."

Snarg's voice echoes from hole: "I maybe don't know much about fixing machines, but you don't just cover a wound without fixing what's wrong inside first."

"... Are you alright now Z? We are at the bottom."

He follows Snarg with his eyes, while making sure Z is not going to faint.

"Well, maybe I don't have my priorities straight, but I don't see why you give a damn," Rory parries casually. "It's not our ship. We're just going to loot it anyway, and besides, we can take care of the problem later. First we need to find out how to get some Weavers down here to 'clear the air', and cure the condition the energy causes."

*Z lets out a shuddering breath.*

"uhh yeah..."

*Her forehead is an odd color red.*

"...thanks..." *She mumbles this and then moves off looking for the 'source' of the magical energy*

Several loud snorts emanate from the airship's hole.
