"Ah-ha, yes, yes!" Snarg exclaims, looking excited. He looks away from studying the notices and turns to the group. "Awright, here's what ya got:

If we go on east ta Kheynth, ya probably gonna run inta bandits or some of them nasty roamin' monsters ya'll hear about. It's not easy for ya to get there, goin' past all them sands, wind, and nasty business weather. Armordillas, reedsharks, and other nasties and whats gonna get ya.

Kheyneth ain't no important place; it's just a little place some folks are settlin' down slow-like. There's some river water there so they've got that goin' for 'em. They probably ain't got any state guards there which is why they got this notice up. That river runs close to Al-Jalima and a little ways outh o' there. There's settlers all over that bank.

South path is pretty common for travelers. It's part of the Gold Road and sweeps right through Al-Ferin all the way to the Spacial Temple - quite a sight I'm hearin'. There's lots of travelin' on that road so there ain't gonna be a good chance to get attack by nasties, but you'll get ya gold stolen from them friendly 'travelers'.

Navaerre got some troops at Al-Ferin 'cause of 'em silver and aluminum mines people like 'em for. Honest, Al-Ferin's almost a city and the mayor's wantin' to replace Tol'tarn as govner last time I heard. Importin' town from what I gather since they don't grow no food or have no water. They got merchants goin' in and out all the time or else they'll dry up. Expensive to live there if you're one of them few that do plop down. The Order's there because of the Spacial Ley there - they got a small post up.

That's what I can tell ya off the top of the ears." The Gnoll finishes his information dump and leans back on the notice board.

At this, Rory lowers his voice so that only party members can hear him.

"If we hope to do anything else about this conspiracy that seems to have ended at Harkun's trail, we should talk to the governor before we leave. Then we should head to Al-Ferin for the bill, and then talk to the mayor for a start. Harkun was fleeing south, so he might have had a contact there. The Goblin who wrote the Gnolls' contract is a possibility. I know this might be a long shot, but it's all we have left at this point."

"South." Hanuel speaks up suddenly. "I -need- to go south. The temple is there." Images of the spacial temple floor Hanuel's mind briefly, as if filtering in from a near-forgotten dream. "Oh but if we go there, these old clothes won't do. I should head to the market. I'll need new clothes, I don't want to look like a beggar." Hanuel trails off, muttering under their breath in excitement.

"while you are right about Harkun heading south i dont think he was heading that way to meet someone from what i have heard about town of how he left and with the news of how the old mayor was ""advised"" to be unpopular i think he was fleeing from somthing and ied say it found him and while i dont have any proof ied say a yellow mage was behind his death, as for the governor i spoke with him earlier about the centaur attack but didnt get any useful info from him but feel free to go see him maybe you will think of stuff i didnt."

"im sorry you know of the whole Oakheart situation and how he came to Gnawbone with a contract that would let you get a home in exchange for you roughing up the town a bit, well i learned that the contract was written up by a yellow mage that was a Goblin, Gnawbone said that he had never seen this Goblin and no one around town has eather so we are at kind of a loss as to that, i mean its not like goblins are a common sight so if one showed up you would think some one would have taken note..."

Zeiss stopped talking. He did not need to say anything, but he wanted to.

"I vote for south. It is less dangerous and more profitable. Another group will probably take the other bill anyway. We don't have to worry about these villagers."

"Its OK, I know he didn't mean anything by it, but the golem on its own isn't the problem its running amok in a mining town and while I have never seen a golem first hand I have hearted how much damage they can do and I'm guessing them miners won't stand a chance without help?!"

"Indeed," nodding solemnly at the lycanthropes, "I meant no disrespect to our companions. However, an artificial creation was still created artificially. Water is natural. Birth is natural. A “golem” is neither birthed or natural.
While I agree it needs to be dealt with, I empathize with the miners that are suffering from their creation. However I feel the water in the desert, providing life to the land and residents, should come first.
I can only imagine the long term effects of the desert affected by poisoned or diverted water."

Also, we need to form a stronger bond through combat as a group, we are warriors after all aren't we? Fighting wild beasts an bandits along the way will be a good way to better and test ourselves in the heat of battle."

I'd be headin' there if that's what yer after; safer travelin' too. I ain't no water man so I dunno what they're wantin' adventurers to do 'bout their river. Little vague if I'm an honest Gnoll - and I am. 'course, if you're the helpin' type, I wouldn't be mindin' goin' and helpin' them settlers, but that ain't the safe path."

"I suppose that's right," Rory recanted. "When it comes down to it, we need to place the value of life higher than chasing after shadows, and money for that matter. Kheynth is my final vote. In the end, whatever the majority decide is fine."
