Fedwaith nods to Kolson. Then takes the Mirror Key from Hanuel.

"well as for the visa the closest thing we have is Ash's dwarf and as i have been able to find nothing in the last 3 days about the undermarket i say we go with that."


"also has anyone seen Higs?"

"Well?" Hanuel looks expectantly at Zeiss.

Fedwaith is staring into space, completely expressionless. He is not breathing or moving. He will not react to any stimulus at all. Attempting to forcibly move him will result in an Elemental shock. You can't even move his clothes or skin. He's completely unmalleable.

"humm Fed?"

"oh bloody hell Really?"

"Shh. Nobody touch him." Hanuel carefully inspects Zeiss's unmoving figure, trying to riddle out what happened.

Rory shakes his head again and heads up to his room. He returns with three bottles of mead. As he sits down, he puts two on the table close to him, and one standing on the chair, between his thighs. He opens up one and proceeds to drink, likely to pass the time.

Anyone with Knowledge: Elements or Spellcraft will see the disturbing fact that 'Fedwaith' has lost his Air Affinity all of the sudden.

Kolson walks over to Zeiss and snaps his finger in front of his face. "He isn't breathing, Han. And his Air affinity is gone. Is this normal?"

"It's...made him...?... No, that can't be right... but maybe..." Hanuel mumbles, still looking over him carefully.

"Normal? Hard to tell. It didn't happen to me. I snapped out nearly instantly. Maybe it has to do with his mind..." Hanuel drops into thought. "The key, and the tower by extension, reflects elemental energy. Maybe, if his mental barriers weren't as strong as mine, it might have done the same to him. No way to tell if it's temporary or not though. This might complicate things."

"well i did say it reflects the elements thats why i wanted to use it on the boy lets just hope he gets it back when what ever it is stops if it stops that is?"

"That's neither here nor there Tabran." Hanuel continues to examine Zeiss, taking note of any small changes in elemental energies around him.

"what him not getting his Air affinity back isnt important?"

"Should we do anything? Wait?" Kolson is obviously freaking out about this but is trying to hold himself together. "I'm out of my element here."

"I meant the boy."

"i say we give it an hour then decide what to do if he hasnt return to normal by then?"

"This kind of power is what might lead to a real way to cure desolation! If elemental energies can be blown away like this, then maybe, with the right application of magic, it can be put into someone who is lacking. Not like that nightmare did to the boy of course, that energy was twisted and wrong, like the nightmare itself."

"or maybe this id linked to why people are been born with out an affinity?"

Rory scribbles on the back of the note he just put on the table and brushes it toward Hanuel. It reads:

"Doubtful. Two wrongs don't make a right."

"I mean taking a small amount of energy from a leyline and putting it into someone who had been born without any. Perhaps..." Hanuel trails off again, muttering about 'selection' and 'all 8'.

After twenty minutes, Fedwaith starts to breathe again. He still hold the Mirror Key, and looks at it. He has a strange expression on his face. Then, he turns towards the others and ask :

"Do any of you know where we can find a dormant volcano in Dereth?"

"Dormant volcan... What happened? What did you see? That was nothing like what happened when I held it." Hanuel inspects Zeiss again, looking for elemental affinity.

"....................................well not off the top of my head NO!"

Kolson's jaw drops in shock when Zeiss revives and acts like nothing happened. "What are you talking about? You were just unresponsive for 20 minutes!"

Kolson does a thorough check of Zeiss for his elemental affinity.
