February 15th: Assault on Janwall

Kolson steps onto the streat and unloads a fire spell on 5 unlucky bad guys.

(Move to C9. Use the Orb of Firerend to Dual Cast Fire 4 (At the cost of 3 mana per spell, +1d12 to the damage of each spell) at the following targets: Black Mage 3, Black Mage 6, Rogue 4, Rogue 9, and Barbarian 1. If anyone is killed by the first spell, then target the closest fighters.)

With great speed Ashakel ran out of his cover and between the buildings, catching the nearby warriors by surprise. Using the momentum of his run, he took a massive swing at the engineer while he was kneeling and assembling the device, and in one powerful motion completely beheaded him, leaving his corpse near the device.
Rory charges one of the nearest foes, slicing him straight down the middle, felling him.
Several people move forward, including Fierneceal who shouts that if things get hairy to back off because she can set off a massive attack centered on herself.
Finally Kolson walks out, brandishing his Orb of Firerend, and Dualcasts Fire 4 down the road, annihilating a large chunk of the attackers into ash.
Edit: Sethos hoofs it up, hearing Tabran's cries of pain, and manages to get in range in time to cast Cure 3 at him! Tabran is healed for 19.

Enemy's Turn:

Two of the Black Mages, identifying Kolson as their primary target, unleash Maximized Fire 4's upon him, nuking him to cinders but not unconscious. The southern group passes around, the Fighters and Rogues taking swings at Tabran but only two of them connect. The southern Black Mages all aim at Ashakel, identifying him as their primary threat, while the Engineer begins hastily constructing a large bomb.
The north group surrounds Gwydo, which was probably a mistake. Only one of them manages to hit him. Amongst this group, one of the Rogues actually slips and stabs themselves on their own hooked dagger, dying in the process.

Party's Turn:

tab takes a hop back and cast sleep level 3 on the engineer working on the bomb.

Spoiler:

Kolson rolls out of the flames and jogs to J9, casting Fire 4 onto Rogue 1, Rogue 6, Fighter 6, Black Mage 1, and Black Mage 2.

"Aaaaargh!" Barely surviving the fire barrage from the mages, Ashakel wanted to try a different approach.

Spoiler:

Sethos heals both Tabran, Kolson, himself, and Hanuel, easing their pain.
Hanuel and Dara move out into the alley, taking shots at but missing the southern skirmishers. Rory charges out, managing to bash back one of the Fighters and prepared to hold the line to save Tabran's life.
Meanwhile, Z had been sneaking around the side of one of the buildings unnoticed and unleashed an Intensified Fire 4 upon the entire southern skirmish group, burning every single one of them to ash instantly.

Enemy's Turn:

To your mild surprise the rest of the enemy shows no signs of retreat nor surrender. The four that remain all gang up on Javan and manage to injure him severely, each one landing blows.

Party's Turn:

Once again switching weapons, Ashakel ran behind one of the buildings to the north. Aiming with his bow, he tried to send an arrow through one of the remaining rogues.

"if you can take 1 alive ied like to question him if we life thought this."

Gwydo and Javan manage to knock two of the remaining skirmishers out, while between Ashakel, Dara, Hanuel, and Fierneceal the other two are slain.

After handing off a length of chain and a lock to bind one of the captives, Rory heads out on the barge to see what his eyes can see.

Rory:
You can't make out much from here, there is some movement on the top deck of the ship but that's all you can tell. You don't get shot by cannonfire though.

Returning, Rory looks over Tabran to see what can be done about his wounds. "I didn't see much, but to my sheer luck, I wasn't fired upon--obviously. Snarg may have them distracted, so if we're going to take them by storm, now's our chance to free that barge and cross over with our captives.... Has anyone seen Zeiss?"

At about this point, Trenaran comes clopping up, Caladrius laid out on her back. She frowns at the battle scene. "Looks like it's a good thing you people were here. Not sure the three of us could've taken a force this size." She harumphed. "So what's going on with that warship?"

"that my dear is a very good question we have to people over there dealing with it but we dont know how that is going?"

"Least we don't have cannonballs flying at us. We should cross over and give them a hand."

tab gets up "thank you Rory yes lets head over there and look see?"

By now you have seen Snarg waving at you from the ship deck.

Zeiss goes back to the shore, seeing all the attackers dead or captured. His companions are looking at him.

"Hey. They're gone. It's over."

He catches his breath and twist his cloak to get rid of the water. Rainbow comes out of nowhere and comes on his shoulder.

"Hi... you alright?"

"what do you mean there gone?"

Snarg dives off the ship and into the water. He stays submerged for a while before finally coming up with a rope. He begins winding it up and unattaching its implements as he walks up to the group, dripping wet.

"Gone. One of them touched the Mirror Key and they disappeared. What is strange is that their boat is understocked. They only had six cannonballs left. No food, no paper, nothing..."

He twist his cloak a little more.

"wait what they had a key too?"

"No. I threw them our Key and they all disappeared, wherever this tower is..."

He looks at the bodies around him, pondering.

"...You haven't lost your time either. I can hardly believe you did that."
