Well no, but I'm hoping that'll be the case when Arch is ready to return. Monday and Tuesday nights(my nights, MINE).

Unless someone would like to GM. While the conversations we used to have were lengthy, I'd say the max time to which we could stretch them out would be about 3-4 hours. Counting the dead silence. Good god, there's nothing more silent than the silence of a silent chat room. Think about that for a bit. You know what I'm talking about.

On a GM related note, I know of a certain insane dragonborn who'd love to meet everyone. You just need to break him out of jail.

I don't know. He's pretty nuts. Is he politically/financially connected or does he have some kind of important information that I need for reasons? Those are literally the only reasons I can think of for busting him out of jail/execution.

(I'm up for playing, just looking for character motivation.)

Yes, that is exactly how it's seen on the comic. It's archived in the meme database, too.

The actual comic is canonical multiple universes thing, which is to say it has its own universe to exist in for the sake of existing canonically. Although there are some funny pages, it was poorly received overall.

I can see why. It's just so awful. After a bit of research apparently Batman kidnaps Dick Grayson for reasons. It never gets better from there apparently. More proof that Frank Miller has lost his mind.

I'm not sure, but knowing the creator, he's probably 100% insane. That goes for both the comic and the game.

You kept that character? I don't know, man. Has anybody here ever played an evil character? Even so, I don't think anybody would be able to play an insanely evil chaotic character as well as Archengeia, when you take into consideration that it was Arch who created him. I'd prefer Arch tried to keep playing him when he had time, I want to see what he'd do and how the story would end.

Oh by the way Kolson, did you ever get around to playing through Alan Wake for your blind friend?

Not yet, no. We are currently working our way through Batman: Arkham City but Alan Wake is in our pile of games that we want to play.

Were you able to do your trial yet? If so, how did it go?

If by "do" you mean finish, I wish to God I had already. But it's still going, though I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun. The way things are looking though, it'll either end soon or keep on going. You've gone through yours already so you'll know what I mean.

Yes and yes. There's a bit of a line between psychotic evil and just an evil character. If he wants to he can, that was just a spur-of-the-moment thing though really; I forget how it even started.

That's cool that you're playing Alan Wake for your friend, I didn't know that you were doing that.

Personal goal: speedrun trial in 30 minutes or less. I've collected information on the route from seeing other attempts. I just hope the RNG doesn't screw me up.

Speedrun Alan Wake? I actually looked it up and couldn't find any existing runs for this, so I admit I'm intrigued. I really need to get my new policy going, been busy trying to catch sis up in WoW for her on the legendary chain, along with struggling to keep up with youtube videos (making, not watching).

As for how it started: We were talking about 4th edition and I fired up a random 4th edition char generator which made the dragonborn/kin/whatever and... well I didn't actually intend for him to be Archenjoker but shrug I suppose.

Speedrunning Alan Wake might be interesting, although, heh, I was actually making a joke about the Dereth Primus trial. I suppose an Alan Wake speedrun might be interesting, although I've never really thought about it before for a game like that. I suppose if people do Resident Evil, Mass Effect, and other games like that it would be in a category like those. Have you gone through Alan Wake before and did you like it enough for something like that? I don't recall.

Maybe the living weapon will drop this time from the trial. Come on, loot RNG!

We've been doing it for years and I enjoy it a lot. Combine all the jokes and running peanut gallery commentary of your best friend with playing a videogame at the same time and you'll have some idea of what it's like.

So hey, since you've been playing GTAV, would you be interested in L.A. Noire? It's on Steam.

It's not the same, but it was made by Rockstar. You play as a cop for a couple tutorial story cases, then get promoted to detective and solve story cases, and get penalized on your case rating if you cause too much damage--vehicle damage, city damage, and injuries(civilians). You can still get a 5 star case rating with acceptable levels of damage. The game takes place in the 1940's, which is reflected in car performance and maneuverability as well as the architecture, advances of science & weaponry, and the culture of Las Angeles.

So I am posting to inform Arch that if he wants us to do Zeiss's trial before the next official D&D session, he only has to tell me. I'm free Thursday and Sunday from 6 PM to 9:30 PM and all night for Friday and Saturday. If you prefer to wait until Monday because you are busy doing something else, I'll wait like a good kid.

I have a question, does Spell Level limit you to your character's class level, or character level? E.g. if a character at level 3 has 1 level in Rogue and two levels in Black mage, would his Spell Level be 2 or 3?
