Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
I take it no one wants to try and boost someone up to one of the windows so we'd be able to get back the terrain advantage.

Javan, i think we may want to check if you can grab Rory and Jump onto an adjacent roof first.

He could probably have held his Jump action to wait for you to jump up to 2nd floor, then grabbed me. But we shall see what happens next. Go for the mage, K.

Well sure, but now you two will be taking a turn taking damage in that deathtrap. I'll stand by at the window and help you guys up in case Javan can't jump out of there with you.

Javan can't Jump without a target. AKA if Javan wants to Jump there, he'd need to attack someone already there.
Also, why EXACTLY are you trying to do going up there?

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
Getting everyone out of the corridor of death would be a good start. If not, i can always go around and flank one of the sides, maybe grab one of them mages. Or you can use Higaide as a target and jump on him. Make it nonlethal damage if you can.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
Yes, but then what? The soldiers will just circle the building while preparing ways to force us out. That, and we still have to get the coin after this, ASAP too. If for some reason we do run away successfully, they'll just be waiting at the mansion, much better prepared.
Javan's next turn (unless Arch rolls tons of lucky rolls for the Hazed guys and Down him) will be to deal with the south archer if he can while setting up Soul Wall on himself. In theory, this should reflect 4 casts in total. I'm more worried about the archers right now, because Javan only has his AC to tank them, and that's never a good idea.

I think all 3 of us need to be on the same page here before we go any further. I'll go with whatever's decided.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
We're busting heads. I'm giving it everything I've got, and so should you guys. Aim for the mages first, that's mainly the reason I'm helping K get into the second story. He'll have concealment from the mage on the left. I'm hopeful that Javan should be able to one-shot the mate on the right. I'm going to coat my weapon in shillelagh and start shoving.
Once you've taken out the mage on the right Javan, your Desperation ability would come in handy. Some of your powers work really well in a crowd control capacity actually, but I wouldn't spend more than 2 mana on this fight. Then take out the archers one at a time. Thankfully there are only two.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
Yeah, but i'm not combat effective from that window unless i can make a plunging attack against a guard, or bypass their defenses and go to the back and engage the mages directly. What is the plan for getting me up on that window then?

Charge out of the window to make a leaping attack on the mage. He'll break your fall if you land on him.

So i'm sure. Higaide is going for the mage on the left, right? Since Javan is gonna Haze the area to the left.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
But wouldn't that make the guards at the left just gang up on Higaide? Actually, we also don't know if there isn't also two archers at the other side, we are probably just being shown what we can see from where we stand.
In all honesty, if Higs (and Rory should probably too) takes the window route, Javan can possibly tank things while on Haze (Soul Wall going up next turn), but archers can just go outside Haze's AOE (the mage can too, but Javan is going to fix on him next turn) and attack from there (possibly using special arrows or poisoned arrows) so if at all possible, I'd like them to go away ASAP. The left mage right now is a lesser threat, specially if we get out of their LOS at the right side of the map (or they kill themselves because of Soul Wall reflecting their nuke), using the corridor to our advantage. Once the archers are gone, you can even use the building again and position to flank whoever is inside the corridor at the time.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
We'll focus our attention on the right side. The guys on the left will have to pass through the Haze to reach us.
The archers might be able to move, but also need line of sight. They can't shoot over a building at something they can't see on the other side. Move the Haze over one space so that it covers me too. That way there are only two spots from where guards affected by Haze can attack me.
The guys on the right will try to leave the Haze if they can and probably try to phalanx around the archers and the mage.
Javan, attack one of the archers if you can. I think you have line of sight on the one in the upper-right-hand side.
Higaide should be able to attack people on the left after they move out of the Haze, but first he has to get out of the building to do it. I will have to climb to get out of the Haze if I want to attack an archer or mage. We'll wait and see what the enemies do.

Re: OOC Thread for Dungeoneering
Javan's turn is done, I can't change what he's doing now. Even if that wasn't the case, Javan's only movement option atm is his 20 feet Jumps (casting the spells are not free, they are using his move action). That includes next turn when he casts Soul Wall.
Also I wouldn't be worried about the guys on the right trying to attack Rory from outside the Haze unless Javan falls this turn. Javan's Jump location was what I calculated as 'optimal', both for this turn and the next. Javan holds threat on all melee guys, and so will Rory if they try to move further into the corridor (save for 1 guy, IF they are dislocated to Javan's left) instead of anywhere else).
Furthermore, all ranged foes on the right side are possible Jump targets by next turn if they don't use a move action by next turn. I'm hoping they have never seen a Haze in effect before and waste this turn with a 5 feet move at most.
