Fifth Adventure 01: Trapped

A wide, mischievous grin spreads across Rory's face, clearly proud of the consequences of his earlier choice.

When he gets to their room, Rory tries to argue that there should be room for two on the bed.

"...I am going to sleep in the wagon. At least I will have some chocolate there."

He leaves the inn and goes for the wagon. He keeps his rapier ready in case someone wants to steal their equipment. He eats some chocolate with peppermint sprinkles and a solid whipped cream filling. His bedroll, that can raise and lower temperature, is quite comfortable.

*Kezrin joins Zeiss, not expecting to get much sleep, but she's more comfortable out here than she was in the crowded room.*

The group manages to arrange sleeping accommodations. Fierneceal makes it clear she would rather sleep alone as, in her own words, she hasn't had a good night's sleep in weeks, even by her standard of time right now. Z harumphs and says nothing, leaving into the night rather than attempting to settle into the room.

Morning comes a bit too early for some, but the group manages to collect themselves together. The Inn is serving a very meager breakfast; a few slices of bread, two strips of bacon, and one egg. They are cutting back on food and so, you learn quickly, is everyone; rationing has set in to help keep supplies stretched for however long they need to.

Kez joins Zeiss at the wagon. He opens his fridge and takes a strawberry concoction out of it.

"Here."

He presents it to the Olthoi.

Feeling obliged to, Rory refrains from getting a plate of the breakfast provided in favor of his own travel-ready rations.

*she accepts, sniffing it somewhat warily remembering the last time when Rory got her drunk off her socks. She takes a drink feeling the cool refreshing fizz wash away the dust of the road. It is quite delicious and refreshing.*

"My thanks, this is heavenly."

Zeiss nods at her and gets to sleep. When he wakes up early in the morning, he goes to the inn to join the others. He eats their meagre breakfast.

Tab knowing that resupplied will be costly for the time been chooses to eat breakfast at the inn before they get ready foe there meeting.

The city is still fairly active and abuzz, but not quite to the panic pitch of the previous day. You make your way, early, towards the Open Palms Forum which you find to be surprisingly empty at the moment. There are hundreds of people there, all asking questions of various Aides, Officials, and military personnel about what's going on, and why, and how. You also notice Z is standing there, arms crossed, waiting without a word. Upon your arrival Z points nonchalantly at a very tall and dignified looking Troll dressed in white and yellow robes with a fine interwoven mesh on them. There are several very well-armed looking individuals standing at his sides, but none of the people he is answering questions for look hostile, merely curious. You recall how politics work in the Naverre, and it occurs to you to get his attention but wait patiently, for it's unlikely you could cut in line anyways.
