Fifth Adventure 01: Trapped

Rory, listening intently, adopts a somewhat dejected and understanding look, and nods sympathetically when the guard finishes explaining. "I'll be sure to tell my companions."

Rory heads off to find the rest of his group, and relays the information to the party still gathered in one location in detail. "We could be here for hours," he says, feeling more calm, "so heading to a tavern or inn for a drink seems like the best we can do. Make sure to tell the others who ran off, and if anybody's up for it, maybe try to help calming down as many people as possible. A good place to start would be to stake entry where we just came from to tell people as they come in."

With that, he heads off for the nearest tavern or inn.

"Snarg we had best go find the other they should be at the order by now, assuming they didn't get lost on the way there that is"

Tab felt sorry in his heart for Snarg, we can only hope that after what we did to help Gnorbone and him people that they are still safe.

Thus far you have not spotted any refugees, and it is unlikely they will be arriving for days or weeks. But when they do, the stream of people may not stop for some time.

"(Great time to be trapped, with no communication lines. Stonehold... what the frell are those people thinking?)"

"Stonehold..." Swept along with the group, Hanuel had done a lot of thinking. Who in the bloody hell decided Stonehold was to blame? It reeked of dirty politics, and Hanuel didn't like it one bit.

"Awright, awright," Snarg shuffles away from the gates, an extremely dejected look about him, "let's be goin'. he he mutters, passing Tabran. After a few minutes travel, he seems to regain his composure somewhat and hastens his movement in to a trot as he sees the party. "S'all shut-up. Ain't no way to even be sendin' a note outta 'ere." he informs them.

"Any idea when they might open up travel Snarg?" Hanuel takes a seat on Dara's back, absentmindedly playing with their braid.

"I ain't knowin'," Snarg shurgs, "wheneva the head boss o' 'ere's wantin', I'm thinkin' an' that'll be dependin' on what's goin' on wit' Stonehold. Bettin' they ain't gonna be releasin' 'em all at once eitha."

"This whole situation reeks of politicians using a situation to try and grab more land." Hanuel mutters, barely loud enough to be heard.

"Yeah, ya ain't wrong, they been havin' eyes on Stonehold fer a long time. Now, if ya be wantin' ta be goin' outta 'ere soona," Snarg scratches his ear and lowers his voice, "might be lookin' in ta smugglin', an' I'm thinkin' ya might be findin' some friend-likes who ain't gonna be turnin' no Stonehold races down." he discretely motions to the protesters.

"It certainly eases my heart that the populace at least isn't behind a war of any sort. I just want to know who the frell put the blame on Stonehold."

"Aint no tellin'. Maybe they ARE doin' it, but attackin' wit' surprise like that ain't doin' Sho an' Naverre any favors."

"Maybe. But it just doesn't feel right to me. Something doesn't add up."

"I could get behind a simple land grab idea if it was just one nation doing it, but it just isn't sitting right. Well as were here have any of you spoken to the order recepsenist yet? It should go smother than last time what with us been part of the order.

*Tab goose to open the door to the order office*

They may be able to put us in touch with Executor Gremlock or at lest tell us more about what's been happening?"

Zeiss goes the the office of the Order.

The Order outpost, the largest one you've seen so far, is in fact open and completely surrounded by a very loud crowd. The people are packed in such density that there is no maneuvering between them without significant force. From the yells and noises you garner, it seems these people are all hopeful that the Order will be able to help them send messages outside of the city.

Fierneceal watches the proceedings, mostly keeping to herself until the time is right.

tab walks up to the Order office with Snarg and stops dead

"wow here too?"

dose a quick headcount

"well it looks like there is over a hundred people hear this will take hours to get thou"

Tab looks around for the rest of the team and spots Zeiss and heads over to him

"well this looks like a no go i was hoping that we could see someone to try and get somthing moveing but it looks like its a deadlock here......were is Rory?"

"You really want to get into the Order? I think I have a way. But you guys would have to be diplomatic with these people."

"what do you have in mind?"

"They all want their letters to be posted it seems. You go there, thirty meters from the building..."

Zeiss points at another building.

"...while the rest of us goes in. And you take the letters from everyone who gives them to you. If you think you're incapable of this, let someone else do it. Caladrius maybe. He seems to have a way with the crowds."

"That's inviting so much trouble, it's not even funny."

"zeiss i thing thats more your line of work but if it gose wrong i think they would rip you to shreds. i was going to say we head to an inn as we cant get out of the city the mail is down the hubs are down and we cant even get in here, we can try here again later."

"If the Order is as.... powerful as you say they are, is it really wise to attempt to manipulate them?"
