Re: OOC Discussion
Sorry about last night. Rory was so baffled by the sight of Snarg and Araiguna returning on their own unscathed, that his player went Oscar Mike.
Actually I laid down to take a nap and ended up crashing for 9 hours. I pulled an all-nighter the night before and I paid the price. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Here's something just for fun: if you had to eat only one vegetable for the rest of your life, which would you pick? Could be for the benefit it provides, such as carrots for carotene(eyesight), or just for taste.
I pick corn. Cuz butter, but it's really the one vegetable I can stand to eat the most, whether canned or..."natural", I guess. And before you say anything about Iowa, screw you.

I can't believe I didn't think of that. My favorite potato dish is cheesy hashbrowns/potatoes. I actually had to look up its nutritional value. I'm converting to potatoes.

This roving new guy/interloper concurs. Sweet potatoes would be a nice treat, but regular old potatoes will do for longer.

Yeah, potatoes for me. I love them for all the reasons already stated.

So I probably should have been paying attention during the session, but when was our next one at roll20 supposed to be, and at what time?

That's a live session of D&D, with voice chat and a battle grid.

Re: OOC Discussion
If you only want to broadcast voice instead of voice and video, make sure you go in to the settings while in the tabletop view and click on the gear at the top-right. There's also the option to turn both off and just use text only (although I really recommend a mic at least). There you can change your broadcast settings. If you want a profile picture, go to your public profile and you can change it there. Your public profile is located outside of the tabletop view when you're just looking at your campaigns (before you join the tabletop).

Re: OOC Discussion
Arch finds it easier to concentrate in that format and it really moves the game forward much faster.

Are we moving to the virtual system instead of posting?

Re: OOC Discussion
It was a bit of a test drive that happened to work out pretty well. If we do go to it, I doubt that it'll mean the end of forum posts, but the main storyline stuff may just happen in that format. The campfire threads are also always for whenever. I think things are still a little up in the air, but it worked out pretty well last time so we're likely going to be trying it again this week. I realize that this does mean a lot of people who formerly were participating when they could via forum posts are not going to be able to make it; at least not all the time.
If we do go through with the voice chat thing and you're unable to make it, but you still want to play, then you could just be NPC'd and filled in later on; like what happened last week. However, that does mean that you're essentially a robot most of the time and I don't think that's the best answer for either GM or player. Another alternative I thought of would be to essentially have a "side adventure" forum thing where anyone who can't make the voice chat still do things, but they aren't in the voice chat storyline session. We could still run in to each other during play at certain times, but it would mean PCs who essentially just functioned as NPCs during the voice chat sessions wouldn't be just sitting there the whole time doing nothing. Again, there are cons: that essentially makes two different sessions which may plain just not work. It might be better if it was somewhat 'automated'. Hmmmmm, thought: would it be interesting to you if you had some browser games and forum RPing that affected the main storyline campaign - even if you weren't directly involved in it? I just had an idea for something...

Re: OOC Discussion
"Browser games"....? I'm intrigued, but hesitant.
Somebody send me a PM with the details for the voice chat so I can try and join in if time allows. I could at least join in for an hour or two, depending on what time it gets started.

well, big stuff always happens when I'm not around, I swear. That said, I'd like more information on how to enter the live campaign, if you guys don't mind.
